For you yourselves know, brothers, our visit to you wasn’t in vain,

弟兄們，你們自己原曉得我們進到你們那裏並不是徒然的。

弟兄們，你們自己知道我們來到你們那裏並不是徒然的。

弟兄們，你們自己知道我們來到你們那裏並不是徒然的。

弟兄姊妹，你們自己知道，我們那次探望你們並沒有白費。

弟兄們，你們都知道，我們進到你們那裡，並不是白費工夫的。

弟兄們，你們自己也知道我們進到你們中間、並不見得是空無所得的；

弟兄們，你們自己知道，我們進到你們那裡並不是空無果效的；

兄弟乎、爾知我儕昔入爾中、非徒然也、

兄弟知我素至爾、非徒然、

兄弟乎、爾知我儕至爾處、非徒然也、

兄弟乎、曩者吾儕之詣爾處、實不為徒勞；此固爾等之所知也。

You know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not without results.

Brothers and sisters, you know that our visit to you produced results.

For you yourselves know, brothers, that our coming to you was not in vain.

You yourselves know, dear brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not a failure.

For you yourselves know, brothers and sisters, that our visit with you was not without result.

For you yourselves know, brothers and sisters, that our reception among you was not in vain,

For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain.

For yourselves, brethren, know our entering in unto you, that it hath not been found vain:

For you yourselves know, brothers, that our visit with you was not without result.

For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:

For you yourselves know, brothers and sisters, about our coming to you– it has not proven to be purposeless.

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may spread rapidly and be glorified, even as also with you,

Behold, isn’t it of Yahweh of Armies that the peoples labor for the fire, and the nations weary themselves for vanity?

Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain.

I am afraid for you, that I might have wasted my labor for you.

I went up by revelation, and I laid before them the Good News which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately before those who were respected, for fear that I might be running, or had run, in vain.

by which also you are saved, if you hold firmly the word which I preached to you— unless you believed in vain.

But by the grace of God I am what I am. His grace which was given to me was not futile, but I worked more than all of them; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not to say anything.For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God,and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.

holding up the word of life, that I may have something to boast in the day of Christ, that I didn’t run in vain nor labor in vain.

Working together, we entreat also that you do not receive the grace of God in vain,

But I said,“ I have labored in vain. I have spent my strength in vain for nothing; yet surely the justice due to me is with Yahweh, and my reward with my God.”

They will not labor in vain nor give birth for calamity; for they are the offspring of Yahweh’s blessed and their descendants with them.

For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.

Surely I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocence,

She deals harshly with her young ones, as if they were not hers. Though her labor is in vain, she is without fear,

when he comes in that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.
