但是永恆主由眾神言人眾先見者經手、屢次警諭以色列人和猶大人說：『應當轉離你們罪的壞行徑，謹守我的誡命律例，照我一切的律法去行，就是我所吩咐你們列祖、並由我僕人神言人們經手傳給你們的。』

先見撒母耳、基士的兒子掃羅、尼珥的兒子押尼珥、洗魯雅的兒子約押、所分別為聖之物——其實任何人所分別為聖的——都歸示羅密和他弟兄手下管理着。

亞瑪謝又對阿摩司說：『見異象的人哪、走吧，逃往猶大地去吧！在那裏找口飯喫，在那裏傳神言吧！

大衛王始終的事、始末都寫在先見《撒母耳記錄》上、神言人《拿單記錄》上、和見異象者《迦得記錄》上，

大衛早晨起來；永恆主的話傳與為大衛做先見者的神言人迦得，說：

他們對先見們說：『不要見異象哦』；對見異象的人說：『不要向我們傳講對的異象哦；只要向我們說圓滑的話，傳講虛幻的異象好啦；

兒子們在她腹中彼此相擠，她就說：『若是如此，我為甚麼這樣呢？』她就去尋問永恆主。

這些受選拔做把守門檻者共有二百一十二人；他們在自己村莊裏登記了家譜；他們是大衛和先見撒母耳所派立、來擔當這受託職任的。

約書亞死了以後，以色列人求問永恆主說：『誰要為我們先上去攻擊迦南人，和他們交戰呢？』

因為永恆主將沉睡之靈傾注於你們；使你們的眼緊合着，使你們的頭蒙蓋着！

亞撒就惱怒先見，把他下在枷架監裏，因為為了這事亞撒很生氣他。同時亞撒也對一些人民橫施殘酷。

就在那時先見哈拿尼就來見猶大王亞撒，對他說：『因你依靠着亞蘭王，沒有依靠永恆主你的上帝、故此亞蘭王的軍隊才逃脫了你的手。
