掃羅回答：“我不是以色列眾支派中最微小的便雅憫人嗎？我的家族不是便雅憫支派的家族中最微小的嗎？你為甚麼對我說這樣的話呢？”

扫罗说：“我不是以色列支派中至小的便雅悯人吗？我家不是便雅悯支派中至小的家吗？你为何对我说这样的话呢？”

扫罗回答说：“我不是以色列支派中最小的便雅悯人吗？我的家族不是便雅悯支派中最小的家族吗？你为何对我说这样的话呢？”

扫罗回答说：“我不是以色列支派中最小的便雅悯人吗？我的家族不是便雅悯支派中最小的家族吗？你为何对我说这样的话呢？”

扫罗答道：“我来自以色列最小的便雅悯支派，我的家族在便雅悯支派中最小，你何出此言？”

扫罗回答：“我不是以色列众支派中最微小的便雅悯人吗？我的家族不是便雅悯支派的家族中最微小的吗？你为什么对我说这样的话呢？”

扫罗回应说：“难道我不是出自以色列最小支派的本雅明人吗？我的家族不是本雅明支派所有家族中最微小的吗？你为什么对我说这样的话呢？”

掃羅說：「我不是以色列支派中至小的便雅憫人嗎？我家不是便雅憫支派中至小的家嗎？你為何對我說這樣的話呢？」

掃羅回答說：「我不是以色列支派中最小的便雅憫人嗎？我的家族不是便雅憫支派中最小的家族嗎？你為何對我說這樣的話呢？」

掃羅回答說：「我不是以色列支派中最小的便雅憫人嗎？我的家族不是便雅憫支派中最小的家族嗎？你為何對我說這樣的話呢？」

掃羅答道：「我來自以色列最小的便雅憫支派，我的家族在便雅憫支派中最小，你何出此言？」

掃羅回答說：『我，我不是便雅憫人、以色列族派中至小的麼？我家不是便雅憫族派眾家中至微小的麼？你為甚麼對我說這樣的話呢？』

掃羅回應說：「難道我不是出自以色列最小支派的便雅憫人嗎？我的家族不是便雅憫支派所有家族中最微小的嗎？你為什麼對我說這樣的話呢？」

掃羅曰、我非便雅憫人、屬以色列支派之至小者乎、便雅憫支派諸家之中、我家非至微者乎、曷與我言若是、

掃羅曰、我便雅憫人也、以色列支派中、便雅憫族非至小乎。便雅憫族之最著者中、我家非至微乎。曷與我言若是。

掃羅曰、我非便雅憫人乎、便雅憫支派在以色列諸支派中、非至小者乎、我之家在便雅憫支派之諸家中、非至微者乎、何與我言若是、

Saul answered,“ But am I not a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel, and is not my clan the least of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why do you say such a thing to me?”

Saul answered,“ But I’m from the tribe of Benjamin. It’s the smallest tribe in Israel. And my family group is the least important in the whole tribe of Benjamin. So why are you saying that to me?”

Saul answered,“ Am I not a Benjaminite, from the least of the tribes of Israel? And is not my clan the humblest of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then have you spoken to me in this way?”

Saul replied,“ But I’m only from the tribe of Benjamin, the smallest tribe in Israel, and my family is the least important of all the families of that tribe! Why are you talking like this to me?”

Saul responded,“ Am I not a Benjaminite from the smallest of Israel’s tribes and isn’t my clan the least important of all the clans of the Benjaminite tribe? So why have you said something like this to me?”

Saul replied,“ Am I not a Benjaminite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel, and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then have you spoken to me in this way?”

And Saul answered and said,“ Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel, and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak like this to me?”

And Saul answered and said, Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou to me after this manner?

Saul responded,“ Am I not a Benjaminite from the smallest of Israel’s tribes and isn’t my clan the least important of all the clans of the Benjaminite tribe? So why have you said something like this to me?”

And Saul answered and said,[ Am] not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me?

Saul replied,“ Am I not a Benjaminite, from the smallest of Israel’s tribes, and is not my family clan the smallest of all the tribes of Benjamin? Why do you speak to me in this way?”

Saul answered,“ Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak to me like this?”

撒母耳說：“從前你雖然自以為微小，不是作了以色列眾支派的首領嗎？耶和華膏立了你作以色列的王，

在那裡有微小的便雅憫領導他們；隨後的，有猶大的領袖，成群結隊，還有西布倫和拿弗他利的領袖。

所以那一天便雅憫人倒斃的，共有二萬五千人，都是拿刀的，全部是勇士。剩下的六百人轉身，向著曠野逃跑，到了臨門的磐石那裡，就在臨門的磐石那裡住了四個月。以色列人又回到便雅憫人那裡，把全城的人和牲畜，以及一切遇見的，都用刀殺盡；又把他們碰見的一切城市放火燒毀了。

從前以法蓮一說話，人都戰兢。他原在以色列中居高位，但後來因事奉巴力犯了罪，就死了。

於是掃羅的臣僕把這些話說給大衛聽。大衛說：“你們以為作王的女婿是一件小事嗎？我是個貧窮卑微的人。”

耶和華轉向基甸，對他說：“你靠著你這能力，去拯救以色列人脫離米甸人的手吧；我不是差派了你嗎？”基甸對他說：“唉，我主啊，我憑著甚麼拯救以色列人呢？看哪，我的家族在瑪拿西支派中是最卑微的，我在我的父家是最年輕的。”

我本來比聖徒中最小的還小，神還是賜給我這恩典，要我把基督那測不透的豐富傳給外族人，

大衛回答掃羅：“我是誰？我是甚麼身分？我父家在以色列人中算得甚麼？我怎麼作王的女婿呢？”

但是有些流氓說：“這人怎能拯救我們呢？”就藐視他，也沒有送他禮物。掃羅卻沒有說甚麼。

因為凡高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己謙卑的，必要升高。”
