And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.

撒母耳看见扫罗的时候，耶和华对他说：“看哪，这人就是我对你所说的，他必治理我的民。”

撒母耳看见了扫罗，耶和华就对撒母耳说：“你看，这就是我对你所说的那人，他要统治我的子民。”

当撒母耳看见扫罗时，耶和华就对撒母耳说：“看哪，这就是我对你所说的那个人！这人将统治我的子民。”

撒母耳看見掃羅的時候，耶和華對他說：「看哪，這人就是我對你所說的，他必治理我的民。」

撒母耳看見了掃羅，永恆主就應時對撒母耳說：『看哪，這就是我對你所說到的：那管理我人民的、正是這個人。』

當撒母耳看見掃羅時，耶和華就對撒母耳說：「看哪，這就是我對你所說的那個人！這人將統治我的子民。」

When Samuel caught sight of Saul, the Lord said to him,“ This is the man I spoke to you about; he will govern my people.”

When Samuel saw a man coming toward him, the Lord spoke to Samuel again. He said,“ He is the man I told you about. His name is Saul. He will govern my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord told him,“ Here is the man of whom I spoke to you! He it is who shall restrain my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said,“ That’s the man I told you about! He will rule my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD told him,“ Here is the man I told you about; he will govern my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him,“ Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! This one shall rule over My people.”

So when Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said to him,“ There he is, the man of whom I spoke to you. This one shall reign over My people.”

And when Samuel saw Saul, Jehovah said unto him, Behold, the man of whom I spake to thee! this same shall have authority over my people.

When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord told him,“ Here is the man I told you about; he will rule over My people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said,“ Here is the man that I told you about! He will rule over my people.”

When Samuel saw Saul, Yahweh said to him,“ Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! He will have authority over my people.”

I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took[ him] away in my wrath.

And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.

For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to[ execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.

And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD’S anointed[ is] before him.But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for[ the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the LORD chosen this.Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all[ thy] children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.And he sent, and brought him in. Now he[ was] ruddy,[ and] withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this[ is] he.

And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and[ some] of my servants set I at the gates,[ that] there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.

For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God,[ saying], Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.

But[ the sons] of Belial[ shall be] all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:But the man[ that] shall touch them must be fenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the[ same] place.
