As they have done from the day I brought them up out of Egypt until this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are doing to you.

They are doing just as they have always done. They have deserted me and served other gods. They have done that from the time I brought them up out of Egypt until this day. Now they are deserting you too.

According to all the deeds that they have done, from the day I brought them up out of Egypt even to this day, forsaking me and serving other gods, so they are also doing to you.

Ever since I brought them from Egypt they have continually abandoned me and followed other gods. And now they are giving you the same treatment.

They are doing the same thing to you that they have done to me, since the day I brought them out of Egypt until this day, abandoning me and worshiping other gods.

Like all the deeds which they have done since the day that I brought them up from Egypt even to this day— in that they have abandoned Me and served other gods— so they are doing to you as well.

The land was polluted with blood.Thus they were defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.Therefore Yahweh burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.

and the children of Israel said to them,“ We wish that we had died by Yahweh’s hand in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots, when we ate our fill of bread, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

Yahweh’s anger burned against Israel; and he said,“ Because this nation transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and has not listened to my voice,

but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, Yahweh’s saint.The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.Thus they exchanged their glory for an image of a bull that eats grass.They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,

When the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron, and said to him,“ Come, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we don’t know what has become of him.”

“ You stiff- necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.You received the law as it was ordained by angels, and didn’t keep it!”

The children of Israel again did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, when Ehud was dead.

Yet they tempted and rebelled against the Most High God, and didn’t keep his testimonies,but turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers. They were twisted like a deceitful bow.For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their engraved images.When God heard this, he was angry, and greatly abhorred Israel,

You shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land. You shall break down their altars.’ But you have not listened to my voice. Why have you done this?Therefore I also said,‘ I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.’”

They rose up before Moses, with some of the children of Israel, two hundred fifty princes of the congregation, called to the assembly, men of renown.They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them,“ You take too much on yourself, since all the congregation are holy, everyone of them, and Yahweh is among them! Why do you lift yourselves up above Yahweh’s assembly?”

All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. The whole congregation said to them,“ We wish that we had died in the land of Egypt, or that we had died in this wilderness!Why does Yahweh bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be captured or killed! Wouldn’t it be better for us to return into Egypt?”They said to one another,“ Let’s choose a leader, and let’s return into Egypt.”

But on the next day all the congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and against Aaron, saying,“ You have killed Yahweh’s people!”

Therefore the people quarreled with Moses, and said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahweh?”

The children of Israel did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, so Yahweh delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

You have been rebellious against Yahweh from the day that I knew you.

The children of Israel again did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight; and Yahweh delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.

They said to Moses,“ Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you treated us this way, to bring us out of Egypt?Isn’t this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying,‘ Leave us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness.”
