And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.

耶和华对撒母耳说：“众民对你所说的一切，你只管听从，因为他们不是厌弃你，而是厌弃我，不要我作他们的王。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“你就听从民众对你说的一切话。其实他们不是厌弃你，而是厌弃我作他们的王。

永恆主對撒母耳說：『關於人民向你說的一切話你只管依從，因為他們不是棄絕你，乃是棄絕了我作王來管理他們。

耶和華對撒母耳說：「你就聽從民眾對你說的一切話。其實他們不是厭棄你，而是厭棄我作他們的王。

耶和華諭之曰、凡民所言、爾可從之、彼非棄爾、乃棄我也、不欲我為其王、

耶和華諭之曰、可從民言、彼不第棄爾、乃亦棄我、不欲我治理之。

主諭撒母耳曰、民向爾所言、爾惟從之、彼非棄爾、乃棄我、不欲我為其王、

And the Lord told him:“ Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.

The Lord told him,“ Listen to everything the people are saying to you. You are not the one they have turned their backs on. I am the one they do not want as their king.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.

“ Do everything they say to you,” the Lord replied,“ for they are rejecting me, not you. They don’t want me to be their king any longer.

But the LORD told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected me as their king.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

And Jehovah said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee; for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.

But the Lord told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected Me as their king.

The LORD said to Samuel,“ Do everything the people request of you. For it is not you that they have rejected, but it is me that they have rejected as their king.

Yahweh said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people in all that they tell you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me as the king over them.

And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him,[ Nay], but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.

And Moses said,[ This shall be], when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what[ are] we? your murmurings[ are] not against us, but against the LORD.

He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

I will be thy king: where[ is any other] that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took[ him] away in my wrath.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this[ man] to reign over us.

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay[ them] before me.

And God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up,[ and] go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do.

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust:[ and] they walked in their own counsels.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose[ that] in which I delighted not.

[ Is it] not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness[ is] great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins[ this] evil, to ask us a king.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

The disciple is not above[ his] master, nor the servant above his lord.It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more[ shall they call] them of his household?
