And the people of Israel said to Samuel,“ Do not cease to cry out to the Lord our God for us, that he may save us from the hand of the Philistines.”

以色列子民对撒母耳说：“请不要停止为我们向耶和华我们的神呼求，好使他拯救我们脱离非利士人的手。”

以色列人對撒母耳說：「願你不住地為我們呼求耶和華－我們的神，救我們脫離非利士人的手。」

以色列子民對撒母耳說：「請不要停止為我們向耶和華我們的神呼求，好使他拯救我們脫離非利士人的手。」

謂撒母耳曰、為我籲我上帝耶和華勿輟、俾援我於非利士人手、

請於撒母耳曰、為我呼籲耶和華不絕、俾得救我於非利士人手。

以色列人謂撒母耳曰、爾莫不為我呼籲主我之天主、救我於非利士人之手、

They said to Samuel,“ Do not stop crying out to the Lord our God for us, that he may rescue us from the hand of the Philistines.”

They said to Samuel,“ Don’t stop crying out to the Lord our God to help us. Keep praying that he’ll save us from the power of the Philistines.”

“ Don’t stop pleading with the Lord our God to save us from the Philistines!” they begged Samuel.

The Israelites said to Samuel,“ Don’t stop crying out to the LORD our God for us, so that he will save us from the Philistines.”

So the sons of Israel said to Samuel,“ Do not stop crying out to the Lord our God for us, that He will save us from the hand of the Philistines!”

So the children of Israel said to Samuel,“ Do not cease to cry out to the Lord our God for us, that He may save us from the hand of the Philistines.”

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto Jehovah our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

The Israelites said to Samuel,“ Don’t stop crying out to the Lord our God for us, so that He will save us from the hand of the Philistines.”

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

The Israelites said to Samuel,“ Keep crying out to the LORD our God so that he may save us from the hand of the Philistines!”

The children of Israel said to Samuel,“ Don’t stop crying to Yahweh our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.”

It may be that the Lord your God will hear the words of the Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to mock the living God, and will rebuke the words that the Lord your God has heard; therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.’”

And all the people said to Samuel,“ Pray for your servants to the Lord your God, that we may not die, for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for ourselves a king.”And Samuel said to the people,“ Do not be afraid; you have done all this evil. Yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart.And do not turn aside after empty things that cannot profit or deliver, for they are empty.For the Lord will not forsake his people, for his great name’s sake, because it has pleased the Lord to make you a people for himself.Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch.

On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest,and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth.
