Then Samuel took a stone and placed it between Mizpah and Shen, and named it Ebenezer, saying,“ So far the Lord has helped us.”

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, saying,“ Thus far the Lord has helped us.”

Then Samuel got a big stone. He set it up between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer. He said,“ The Lord has helped us every step of the way.”

Then Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen and called its name Ebenezer; for he said,“ Till now the Lord has helped us.”

Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah. He named it Ebenezer( which means“ the stone of help”), for he said,“ Up to this point the Lord has helped us!”

Afterward, Samuel took a stone and set it upright between Mizpah and Shen. He named it Ebenezer, explaining,“ The LORD has helped us to this point.”

Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan at the place where the feet of the priests who carried the ark of the covenant were standing, and they are there to this day.

So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place,

So Jacob set up a memorial stone in the place where He had spoken with him, a memorial of stone, and he poured out a drink offering on it; he also poured oil on it.

Now the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.

And Abraham named that place The Lord Will Provide, as it is said to this day,“ On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”

Then Jacob took a stone and set it up as a memorial stone.Jacob said to his relatives,“ Gather stones.” So they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there by the heap.Now Laban called it Jegar sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed.Laban said,“ This heap is a witness between you and me this day.” Therefore it was named Galeed,and Mizpah, for he said,“ May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are absent one from the other.If you mistreat my daughters, or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no one is with us, see, God is witness between you and me.”Laban also said to Jacob,“ Behold this heap and behold the memorial stone which I have set between you and me.This heap is a witness, and the memorial stone is a witness, that I will not pass by this heap to you for harm, and you will not pass by this heap and this memorial stone to me, for harm.

And Moses built an altar and named it The Lord is My Banner;

So Jacob got up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had placed as a support for his head, and set it up as a memorial stone, and poured oil on its top.Then he named that place Bethel; but previously the name of the city had been Luz.

So the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out to meet the Philistines in battle, and they camped beside Ebenezer, while the Philistines camped in Aphek.

“ Listen to Me, house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, You who have been carried by Me from birth And have been carried from the womb;Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will carry you! I have done it, and I will bear you; And I will carry you and I will save you.

And Joshua wrote these words in the Book of the Law of God; and he took a large stone and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of the Lord.Then Joshua said to all the people,“ Behold, this stone shall be a witness against us, because it has heard all the words of the Lord which He spoke to us; so it shall be a witness against you, so that you do not deny your God.”

On that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a memorial stone to the Lord beside its border.

God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds.

I have leaned on you since my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb; My praise is continually of You.

As for those twelve stones which they had taken from the Jordan, Joshua set them up at Gilgal.And he said to the sons of Israel,“ When your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying,‘ What are these stones?’then you shall inform your children, saying,‘ Israel crossed this Jordan on dry ground.’For the Lord your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as the Lord your God had done to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed;so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, so that you may fear the Lord your God forever.”
