以色列人選擇新神，爭戰的事就臨到城門。那時，以色列四萬人中豈能見盾牌槍矛呢？

這不是割麥子的時候嗎？我求告耶和華，他必打雷降雨，使你們又知道又看出，你們求立王的事是在耶和華面前犯大罪了。」

說：『以色列人哪，你們當聽，你們今日將要與仇敵爭戰，不要膽怯，不要懼怕戰兢，也不要因他們驚恐；因為耶和華－你們的神與你們同去，要為你們與仇敵爭戰，拯救你們。』

摩西向天伸杖，耶和華就打雷下雹，有火閃到地上；耶和華下雹在埃及地上。那時，雹與火攙雜，甚是厲害，自從埃及成國以來，遍地沒有這樣的。在埃及遍地，雹擊打了田間所有的人和牲畜，並一切的菜蔬，又打壞田間一切的樹木。

神啊，諸水見你，一見就都驚惶；深淵也都戰抖。雲中倒出水來；天空發出響聲；你的箭也飛行四方。你的雷聲在旋風中；電光照亮世界；大地戰抖震動。

耶和華使西西拉和他一切車輛全軍潰亂，在巴拉面前被刀殺敗；西西拉下車步行逃跑。

有烈火在他前頭行，燒滅他四圍的敵人。他的閃電光照世界，大地看見便震動。

他以黑暗為藏身之處，以水的黑暗、天空的厚雲為他四圍的行宮。因他面前的光輝，他的厚雲行過便有冰雹火炭。耶和華也在天上打雷；至高者發出聲音便有冰雹火炭。他射出箭來，使仇敵四散；多多發出閃電，使他們擾亂。

他對我說：「這是耶和華指示所羅巴伯的。萬軍之耶和華說：不是倚靠勢力，不是倚靠才能，乃是倚靠我的靈方能成事。

又有閃電、聲音、雷轟、大地震，自從地上有人以來，沒有這樣大、這樣厲害的地震。那大城裂為三段，列國的城也都倒塌了；神也想起巴比倫大城來，要把那盛自己烈怒的酒杯遞給他。各海島都逃避了，眾山也不見了。又有大雹子從天落在人身上，每一個約重一他連得。為這雹子的災極大，人就褻瀆神。
