現今不是收割麥子的時候嗎？我要向耶和華呼求，他就會打雷降雨，你們就可以知道，又可以看見，你們為自己要求立王的事，在耶和華看來，是行了極大的惡事。”

對他們說：‘以色列人哪，你們要聽，你們今日快要和仇敵作戰，你們不要膽怯，不要懼怕，不要驚慌，不要因他們的緣故戰兢；因為耶和華你們的神和你們同去，要為你們攻打你們的仇敵，要拯救你們。’

摩西把手杖向天一伸，耶和華就打雷（“打雷”原文作“神的聲音”）下雹，有火落在地上；耶和華使冰雹降在埃及地上。那時有了冰雹，冰雹與火混雜在一起，十分嚴重；埃及全地自從建國以來，未曾有過這樣的冰雹。在埃及全地，冰雹把田間的一切，連人和牲畜都擊打了；冰雹又把田間的一切蔬菜擊打了，也把田間的一切樹木打斷了。

神啊！眾水看見你，眾水看見你就懼怕，深淵也都戰抖。密雲傾降雨水，天空發出響聲，你的箭閃射四方。你的雷聲在旋風中響起來，閃電照亮了世界，大地戰抖震動。

耶和華用刀使西西拉和所有的車輛與全軍，都在巴拉面前潰亂；西西拉下了車，步行逃跑。

有火走在他的前面，燒盡他四圍的敵人。他的閃電照亮世界，大地看見了就戰慄。

他以黑暗作他的隱密處，他以濃黑的水氣，就是天空的密雲，作他四周的帷帳。密雲、冰雹與火炭，從他面前的光輝經過。耶和華在天上打雷，至高者發出聲音，發出冰雹和火炭。他射出箭來，使它們四散；他連連發出閃電，使它們混亂。

他對我說：“這是耶和華對所羅巴伯所說的話：‘不是倚靠權勢，不是倚靠能力，而是倚靠我的靈。’這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

於是有閃電、響聲、雷轟和大地震，自從地上有人以來，沒發生過這麼大的地震，那大城裂為三段，列國的城也都倒塌了。神也想起巴比倫大城來，要把自己烈怒的酒杯遞給它。各海島都逃避了，眾山也不見了。有大冰雹從天上落在人的身上，每塊重約四十公斤。由於這冰雹的災，人就褻瀆神，因為這災太嚴重了。
