The ark is called by the Name, the name of Yahweh of Hosts who dwells between the cherubim.They set the ark of God on a new cart and transported it from Abinadab’s house, which was on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio, sons of Abinadab, were guiding the cartand brought it with the ark of God from Abinadab’s house on the hill. Ahio walked in front of the ark.

On the west side, from the hill facing Beth-horon on the south, the border curved, turning southward, and ended at Kiriath-baal( that is, Kiriath-jearim), a city of the descendants of Judah. This was the west side of their border.

So David assembled all Israel, from the Shihor of Egypt to the entrance of Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.David and all Israel went to Baalah( that is, Kiriath-jearim that belongs to Judah) to take the ark of God from there, which is called by the name of the Lord who dwells between the cherubim.At Abinadab’s house they set the ark of God on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio were guiding the cart.

Leave, leave, go out from there! Do not touch anything unclean; go out from her, purify yourselves, you who carry the vessels of the Lord.

They sent messengers to the residents of Kiriath-jearim, saying,“ The Philistines have returned the ark of the Lord. Come down and get it.”

We heard of the ark in Ephrathah; we found it in the fields of Jaar.
