And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but by all means return him a trespass- offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

他们答道：“你们若把以色列上帝的约柜送回去，不可空手送去，一定要向他献上赔罪的礼物，这样你们就可以得到医治，也可以知道他为什么惩罚你们。”

他们回答：“你们把以色列神的约柜送回去的时候，不可空空地把它送回去，却要偿还赔罪的礼物，这样，你们就可以得着医治，也可以知道，为什么他的手没有离开你们。”

他们回答：“如果你们要送回以色列神的约柜，不要空手送回，一定要把赔罪的礼物带给以色列的神。这样你们就可以痊愈，也知道为什么他的手不离开你们。”

他們說：「若要將以色列神的約櫃送回去，不可空空地送去，必要給他獻賠罪的禮物，然後你們可得痊癒，並知道他的手為何不離開你們。」

他們答道：「你們若把以色列上帝的約櫃送回去，不可空手送去，一定要向他獻上賠罪的禮物，這樣你們就可以得到醫治，也可以知道他為什麼懲罰你們。」

他們回答：“你們把以色列神的約櫃送回去的時候，不可空空地把它送回去，卻要償還賠罪的禮物，這樣，你們就可以得著醫治，也可以知道，為甚麼他的手沒有離開你們。”

他們說：『若要將以色列上帝的櫃送走，你們不可空空送去，總要將賠罪禮物還給他，然後能得醫好，也能知道他的手為甚麼沒有離開你們。』

他們回答：「如果你們要送回以色列神的約櫃，不要空手送回，一定要把賠罪的禮物帶給以色列的神。這樣你們就可以痊癒，也知道為什麼他的手不離開你們。」

曰、如欲遣以色列上帝之匱、勿使徒去、必獻補過之祭、乃可得醫、且知其手不離於爾之故、

曰、如欲遣歸以色列族上帝之匱、毋使徒去、必獻補過之祭、則可得醫、而降災不輟之故、由是而知。

曰、如欲遣歸以色列天主之匱、不可使之徒去、當獻贖愆祭、乃得痊愈、而其降災不離爾之故、亦由是可知、

They answered,“ If you return the ark of the god of Israel, do not send it back to him without a gift; by all means send a guilt offering to him. Then you will be healed, and you will know why his hand has not been lifted from you.”

They answered,“ If you return the ark of the god of Israel, don’t send it back to him without a gift. Be sure you send a guilt offering to their god along with it. Then you will be healed. You will find out why his power has continued to be against you.”

They said,“ If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty, but by all means return him a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why his hand does not turn away from you.”

“ Send the Ark of the God of Israel back with a gift,” they were told.“ Send a guilt offering so the plague will stop. Then, if you are healed, you will know it was his hand that caused the plague.”

They replied,“ If you send the ark of Israel’s God away, do not send it without an offering. Send back a guilt offering to him, and you will be healed. Then the reason his hand hasn’t been removed from you will be revealed.”

And they said,“ If you are going to send the ark of the God of Israel away, do not send it empty; but you shall certainly return to Him a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and it will be revealed to you why His hand does not leave you.”

So they said,“ If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty; but by all means return it to Him with a trespass offering. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why His hand is not removed from you.”

They replied,“ If you send the ark of Israel’s God away, you must not send it without an offering. You must send back a restitution offering to Him, and you will be healed. Then the reason His hand hasn’t been removed from you will be revealed.”

And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

They replied,“ If you are going to send the ark of the God of Israel back, don’t send it away empty. Be sure to return it with a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and you will understand why his hand is not removed from you.”

They said,“ If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, don’t send it empty; but by all means return a trespass offering to him. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.”

And see; if it goeth up by the way of its own border to Beth- shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep: seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, at the time appointed in the month Abib( for in it thou camest out from Egypt); and none shall appear before me empty:

Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before Jehovah thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles; and they shall not appear before Jehovah empty:

And the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break its neck. All the first- born of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.

And this is the law of the trespass- offering: it is most holy.In the place where they kill the burnt- offering shall they kill the trespass- offering; and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle upon the altar round about.And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof: the fat tail, and the fat that covereth the inwards,and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away;and the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto Jehovah: it is a trespass- offering.Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in a holy place: it is most holy.As is the sin- offering, so is the trespass- offering; there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith, he shall have it.

I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; Show me wherefore thou contendest with me.

And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of Jehovah was against the city with a very great discomfiture: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great; and tumors brake out upon them.

For hath any said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:That which I see not teach thou me: If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more?

And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us; for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.

And he shall bring his trespass- offering unto Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to thy estimation, for a trespass- offering, unto the priest:

and he shall bring his trespass- offering unto Jehovah for his sin which he hath sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, for a sin- offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him as concerning his sin.

They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to its own place, that it slay us not, and our people. For there was a deadly discomfiture throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

If any one commit a trespass, and sin unwittingly, in the holy things of Jehovah; then he shall bring his trespass- offering unto Jehovah, a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to thy estimation in silver by shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass- offering:and he shall make restitution for that which he hath done amiss in the holy thing, and shall add the fifth part thereto, and give it unto the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass- offering, and he shall be forgiven.And if any one sin, and do any of the things which Jehovah hath commanded not to be done; though he knew it not, yet is he guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, according to thy estimation, for a trespass- offering, unto the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning the thing wherein he erred unwittingly and knew it not, and he shall be forgiven.It is a trespass- offering: he is certainly guilty before Jehovah.
