伯示麥人說：「誰能在這位聖潔的神耶和華面前站立得住呢？應該請他離開我們上誰那裡去呢？」

And the people of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who can stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The people of Beth Shemesh said,“ The Lord is a holy God. Who can stand in front of him? Where can the ark go up to from here?”

Then the men of Beth-shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom shall he go up away from us?”

“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God?” they cried out.“ Where can we send the Ark from here?”

The people of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the LORD this holy God? To whom should the ark go from here?”

And the men of Beth shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom will He go up from us?”

And the men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? And to whom shall it go up from us?”

And the men of Beth- shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The men of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of this holy Lord God? Who should the ark go to from here?”

And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The residents of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

亞實突人召集了非利士所有的首領，問他們：「我們如何處理以色列上帝的約櫃？」他們答道：「把它送到迦特去。」於是，眾人把以色列上帝的約櫃送到迦特。約櫃抵達迦特的時候，耶和華攻擊那城，使那裡的男女老少都患了毒瘡，全城驚恐不已。於是，他們把約櫃送往以革倫。以革倫的人看見上帝的約櫃到了，就驚叫道：「他們把以色列上帝的約櫃帶來是要害死我們和我們的人民！」他們派人召集非利士的首領，說：「把以色列上帝的約櫃送回原處吧，免得它殺害我們和我們的人民。」因為上帝重重地懲罰他們，全城都籠罩在死亡的恐懼中。那些沒有死的人都飽受毒瘡的折磨，城中的哭喊聲上達於天。

以色列人對摩西說：「完了！我們死定了！我們全死定了！凡走近耶和華聖幕的都要死，我們豈不是全都要滅亡嗎？」

大衛因耶和華擊殺烏撒而煩惱，就稱那地方為毗列斯·烏撒，沿用至今。那天，大衛懼怕上帝，他說：「我怎能將上帝的約櫃運到我這裡？」因此，大衛沒有將約櫃運到大衛城，而是把它運到迦特人俄別·以東家。

格拉森地區的居民都十分害怕，請求耶穌離開那裡，耶穌便乘船回去了。

西門·彼得見狀，便跪倒在耶穌膝前說：「主啊，離開我，我是個罪人！」

我是耶和華，我帶你們離開埃及，為要做你們的上帝。你們要聖潔，因為我是聖潔的。

耶和華上帝就向烏撒發怒，因他的不敬而擊殺了他。他死在了約櫃旁邊。
