我卻要降火在迦薩的城內，燒滅其中的宮殿。我必剪除亞實突的居民和亞實基倫掌權的，也必反手攻擊以革倫。非利士人所餘剩的必都滅亡。這是主耶和華說的。

就打發人去請非利士的眾首領來聚集，問他們說：「我們向以色列神的約櫃應當怎樣行呢？」他們回答說：「可以將以色列神的約櫃運到迦特去。」於是將以色列神的約櫃運到那裏去。

並雜族的人民和烏斯地的諸王，與非利士地的諸王（亞實基倫、迦薩、以革倫，以及亞實突剩下的人）；

他們就把神的約櫃送到以革倫。神的約櫃到了，以革倫人就喊嚷起來說：「他們將以色列神的約櫃運到我們這裏，要害我們和我們的眾民！」

亞哈謝在撒馬利亞，一日從樓上的欄杆裏掉下來，就病了；於是差遣使者說：「你們去問以革倫的神巴力‧西卜，我這病能好不能好。」

非利士人將他拿住，剜了他的眼睛，帶他下到迦薩，用銅鍊拘索他；他就在監裏推磨。

猶大又取了迦薩和迦薩的四境，亞實基倫和亞實基倫的四境，以革倫和以革倫的四境。

他出去攻擊非利士人，拆毀了迦特城、雅比尼城，和亞實突城；在非利士人中，在亞實突境內，又建築了些城。

亞實基倫看見必懼怕；迦薩看見甚痛苦；以革倫因失了盼望蒙羞。迦薩必不再有君王；亞實基倫也不再有居民。私生子必住在亞實突；我必除滅非利士人的驕傲。

參孫到了迦薩，在那裏看見一個妓女，就與她親近。

非利士人將神的約櫃從以便以謝擡到亞實突。

非利士人說：「應當用甚麼獻為賠罪的禮物呢？」他們回答說：「當照非利士首領的數目，用五個金痔瘡，五個金老鼠，因為在你們眾人和你們首領的身上都是一樣的災。

你們要過到甲尼察看，從那裏往大城哈馬去，又下到非利士人的迦特，看那些國比你們的國還強嗎？境界比你們的境界還寬嗎？
