非利士人问：“我们应当偿给他什么作赔罪的礼物呢？”他们回答：“要按照非利士人各城首领的数目，用五个金痔疮和五只金老鼠作赔罪的礼物，因为你们所有的人和你们各城的首领所遭遇的，都是一样的灾祸。所以你们要做痔疮的像和毁坏田地的老鼠的像，还要把荣耀归给以色列的神。也许他会向你们、你们的神和你们的田地手下留情。

我见主站在祭坛旁，他说：“击打圣殿的柱顶，使门槛都震动。砍掉它们，落在众人的头上，剩下的人我必用刀杀死；没有一个能逃走，没有一人逃脱。如果他们下到阴间，就是在那里，我的手必把他们揪上来；如果他们升到天上，就是在那里，我必把他们拉下来；如果他们躲在迦密山顶，就是在那里，我必搜寻他们，抓他们出来；如果他们要躲避我，藏在海底，就是在那里，我必命令蛇去咬他们；如果他们被仇敌掳去，就是在那里，我必命令刀剑杀死他们；我必定睛在他们身上，降祸不降福。”
