人民來到營中，以色列的長老就說：『永恆主今天為甚麼擊敗我們於非利士人面前呢？我們將永恆主的約櫃從示羅接到我們這裏來吧，好讓他在我們中間拯救我們脫離敵人的手掌。』

軍隊回到營地中，以色列的長老們說：「為什麼今天耶和華讓我們敗在非利士人面前呢？我們把耶和華的約櫃從示羅帶到我們這裡吧，讓約櫃來到我們當中，拯救我們脫離仇敵的手！」

When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord bring defeat on us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh, so that he may go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”

The rest of the Israelite soldiers returned to camp. Then the elders asked them,“ Why did the Lord let the Philistines win the battle over us today? Let’s bring the ark of the Lord’ s covenant from Shiloh. Let’s take it with us. Then the Lord will save us from the power of our enemies.”

And when the people came to the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why has the Lord defeated us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord here from Shiloh, that it may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies.”

After the battle was over, the troops retreated to their camp, and the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord allow us to be defeated by the Philistines?” Then they said,“ Let’s bring the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord from Shiloh. If we carry it into battle with us, it will save us from our enemies.”

When the troops returned to the camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the LORD defeat us today before the Philistines? Let’s bring the ark of the LORD’s covenant from Shiloh. Then it will go with us and save us from our enemies.”

When the people came into the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why has the Lord defeated us today before the Philistines? Let’s take the ark of the covenant of the Lord from Shiloh, so that He may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies.”

And when the people had come into the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why has the Lord defeated us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord from Shiloh to us, that when it comes among us it may save us from the hand of our enemies.”

And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath Jehovah smitten us to- day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of Shiloh unto us, that it may come among us, and save us out of the hand of our enemies.

When the troops returned to the camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord let us be defeated today by the Philistines? Let’s bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh. Then it will go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”

And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies.

When the army came back to the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why did the LORD let us be defeated today by the Philistines? Let’s take with us the ark of the covenant of the LORD from Shiloh. When it is with us, it will save us from the hand of our enemies.

When the people had come into the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why has Yahweh defeated us today before the Philistines? Let’s get the ark of Yahweh’s covenant out of Shiloh and bring it to us, that it may come among us and save us out of the hand of our enemies.”

弟兄們，我不願意你們不曉得，我們的祖宗從前都在雲下，都從海中經過，都在雲裏、海裏受洗歸了摩西；並且都吃了一樣的靈食，也都喝了一樣的靈水。所喝的，是出於隨着他們的靈磐石；那磐石就是基督。但他們中間多半是神不喜歡的人，所以在曠野倒斃。

有敬虔的外貌，卻背了敬虔的實意；這等人你要躲開。

大衛住在自己宮中，對先知拿單說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，耶和華的約櫃反在幔子裏。」

王對撒督說：「你將神的約櫃擡回城去。我若在耶和華眼前蒙恩，他必使我回來，再見約櫃和他的居所。

你為甚麼縮回你的右手？求你從懷中伸出來，毀滅他們。

你們不要倚靠虛謊的話，說：『這些是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿！』

以色列人離開耶和華的山，往前行了三天的路程；耶和華的約櫃在前頭行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安歇的地方。

耶和華說：「你們在國中生養眾多；當那些日子，人必不再提說耶和華的約櫃，不追想，不記念，不覺缺少，也不再製造。

有金香爐，有包金的約櫃，櫃裏有盛嗎哪的金罐和亞倫發過芽的杖，並兩塊約版；

約書亞說：「哀哉！主耶和華啊，你為甚麼竟領這百姓過約旦河，將我們交在亞摩利人的手中，使我們滅亡呢？我們不如住在約旦河那邊倒好。

因為外面作猶太人的，不是真猶太人；外面肉身的割禮，也不是真割禮。惟有裏面作的，才是真猶太人；真割禮也是心裏的，在乎靈，不在乎儀文。這人的稱讚不是從人來的，乃是從神來的。

那時神的約櫃在以色列人那裏。掃羅對亞希亞說：「你將神的約櫃運了來。」

「看哪，你們倚靠虛謊無益的話。你們偷盜，殺害，姦淫，起假誓，向巴力燒香，並隨從素不認識的別神，且來到這稱為我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜；又說：『我們可以自由了。』你們這樣的舉動是要行那些可憎的事嗎？這稱為我名下的殿在你們眼中豈可看為賊窩嗎？我都看見了。這是耶和華說的。你們且往示羅去，就是我先前立為我名的居所，察看我因這百姓以色列的罪惡向那地所行的如何。」耶和華說：「現在因你們行了這一切的事，我也從早起來警戒你們，你們卻不聽從；呼喚你們，你們卻不答應。所以我要向這稱為我名下、你們所倚靠的殿，與我所賜給你們和你們列祖的地施行，照我從前向示羅所行的一樣。我必將你們從我眼前趕出，正如趕出你們的眾弟兄，就是以法蓮的一切後裔。」

七個祭司要拿七個羊角走在約櫃前。到第七日，你們要繞城七次，祭司也要吹角。他們吹的角聲拖長，你們聽見角聲，眾百姓要大聲呼喊，城牆就必塌陷，各人都要往前直上。」

耶和華如此說：我休你們的母親，休書在哪裏呢？我將你們賣給我哪一個債主呢？你們被賣，是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被休，是因你們的過犯。

這水所表明的洗禮，現在藉着耶穌基督復活也拯救你們；這洗禮本不在乎除掉肉體的污穢，只求在神面前有無虧的良心。

他們說：我們禁食，你為何不看見呢？我們刻苦己心，你為何不理會呢？看哪，你們禁食的日子仍求利益，勒逼人為你們做苦工。

「將這律法書放在耶和華－你們神的約櫃旁，可以在那裏見證以色列人的不是；

神啊，你為何永遠丟棄我們呢？你為何向你草場的羊發怒，如煙冒出呢？

約櫃往前行的時候，摩西就說：「耶和華啊，求你興起！願你的仇敵四散！願恨你的人從你面前逃跑！」

你們就對他們說：『這是因為約旦河的水在耶和華的約櫃前斷絕；約櫃過約旦河的時候，約旦河的水就斷絕了。這些石頭要作以色列人永遠的紀念。』」

不要自己心裏說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。

我厭惡你們的節期，也不喜悅你們的嚴肅會。你們雖然向我獻燔祭和素祭，我卻不悅納，也不顧你們用肥畜獻的平安祭；

摩西就打發每支派的一千人去打仗，並打發祭司以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈同去；非尼哈手裏拿着聖所的器皿和吹大聲的號筒。

從前主救了他的百姓出埃及地，後來就把那些不信的滅絕了。這一切的事，你們雖然都知道，我卻仍要提醒你們。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裏面卻盛滿了勒索和放蕩。你這瞎眼的法利賽人，先洗淨杯盤的裏面，好叫外面也乾淨了。「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們好像粉飾的墳墓，外面好看，裏面卻裝滿了死人的骨頭和一切的污穢。你們也是如此，在人前，外面顯出公義來，裏面卻裝滿了假善和不法的事。

耶和華說：你們所獻的許多祭物與我何益呢？公綿羊的燔祭和肥畜的脂油，我已經夠了；公牛的血，羊羔的血，公山羊的血，我都不喜悅。你們來朝見我，誰向你們討這些，使你們踐踏我的院宇呢？你們不要再獻虛浮的供物。香品是我所憎惡的；月朔和安息日，並宣召的大會，也是我所憎惡的；作罪孽，又守嚴肅會，我也不能容忍。你們的月朔和節期，我心裏恨惡，我都以為麻煩；我擔當，便不耐煩。你們舉手禱告，我必遮眼不看；就是你們多多地祈禱，我也不聽。你們的手都滿了殺人的血。

所看見的人，連萬國人，都必問說：『耶和華為何向此地這樣行呢？這樣大發烈怒是甚麼意思呢？』
