As with a breaking of my bones, My enemies reproach me, While they say to me all day long,“ Where is your God?”

In that day I will perform against Eli all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end.For I have told him that I will judge his house forever for the iniquity which he knows, because his sons made themselves vile, and he did not restrain them.

Behold, the days are coming that I will cut off your arm and the arm of your father’s house, so that there will not be an old man in your house.And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever.

All who pass by clap their hands at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that is called‘ The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth’?”All your enemies have opened their mouth against you; They hiss and gnash their teeth. They say,“ We have swallowed her up! Surely this is the day we have waited for; We have found it, we have seen it!”The Lord has done what He purposed; He has fulfilled His word Which He commanded in days of old. He has thrown down and has not pitied, And He has caused an enemy to rejoice over you; He has exalted the horn of your adversaries.Their heart cried out to the Lord,“ O wall of the daughter of Zion, Let tears run down like a river day and night; Give yourself no relief; Give your eyes no rest.“ Arise, cry out in the night, At the beginning of the watches; Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord. Lift your hands toward Him For the life of your young children, Who faint from hunger at the head of every street.”

And Moses said to Aaron,“ This is what the Lord spoke, saying:‘ By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified.’” So Aaron held his peace.

Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.

My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me,“ Where is your God?”

For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, And the place where Your glory dwells.
