路人都拍掌嘲笑你。他們向耶路撒冷城搖頭，嗤笑道：「這就是那被譽為完美無瑕、普世喜悅的城嗎？」敵人都幸災樂禍地譏諷你，他們咬牙切齒地說：「我們吞滅了她！這是我們期待已久的日子！我們終於見到這一天了！」耶和華實現了祂的計劃，成就了祂很久以前的應許。祂毫不留情地毀滅了你，使你的仇敵幸災樂禍，耀武揚威。錫安的城牆啊，你要從心裡向主呼求！你的眼淚要像江河一樣晝夜湧流，不歇不眠。你要在夜間起來，在主面前整夜呼求，向祂傾心吐意；你要為餓昏街頭的孩童向主舉手禱告。

摩西告訴亞倫：「耶和華曾說過，『我要在事奉我的人中顯明我的聖潔，在所有子民面前彰顯我的榮耀。』」亞倫默默無言。

我對你的殿充滿炙熱的愛，辱罵你之人的辱罵都落在我身上。

我不吃不喝，晝夜以淚洗面，人們整天譏笑我：「你的上帝在哪裡？」

正因如此，你們當中有許多人身體軟弱，疾病纏身，死亡的也不少。如果我們先自我省察，就不會遭受審判了。主審判我們，是對我們的管教，免得我們和世人一同被定罪。

耶和華啊，我愛你的殿，你榮耀充滿的地方。
