Then Saul said to his armorbearer,“ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and abuse me.” But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it.

扫罗就对替他拿兵器的人说：“拔出你的刀来，把我刺透，免得这些未受割礼的人来把我刺透，戏弄我。”但替他拿兵器的人不肯这样作，因为他非常害怕。于是扫罗拿过刀来，自己伏在刀上死了。

掃羅對替他拿兵器的說：「拔出你的刀來，把我刺死！免得這些未受割禮的人來刺死我，折辱我。」但拿兵器的不肯，因為他極其害怕。於是掃羅拿起刀，伏在刀上。

謂執兵者曰、爾其拔劍刺我、免未受割者至、刺而侮我、執兵者懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅遂伏劍而死、

謂持兵之士曰、汝其拔刃刺我、恐未受割者刺我、加以狎侮。持兵之士懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅觸刃而死。

謂執其兵器者曰、爾可拔刀刺我、恐未受割禮者來刺我、加以狎褻、執其兵器者懼甚、不敢奉命、掃羅遂取刀自伏其上、

Saul said to his armor-bearer,“ Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and run me through and abuse me.” But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Saul spoke to the man carrying his armor. He said,“ Pull out your sword. Stick it through me. If you don’t, these fellows who aren’t circumcised will come. They’ll stick their swords through me and hurt me badly.” But the man was terrified. He wouldn’t do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armor-bearer,“ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and mistreat me.” But his armor-bearer would not, for he feared greatly. Therefore Saul took his own sword and fell upon it.

Saul groaned to his armor bearer,“ Take your sword and kill me before these pagan Philistines come to run me through and taunt and torture me.” But his armor bearer was afraid and would not do it. So Saul took his own sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armor-bearer,“ Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and run me through and torture me!” But his armor-bearer would not do it because he was terrified. Then Saul took his sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armor bearer,“ Draw your sword and pierce me through with it, otherwise these uncircumcised Philistines will come and pierce me through, and abuse me.” But his armor bearer was unwilling, because he was very fearful. So Saul took his sword and fell on it.

Then said Saul to his armorbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armorbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell upon it.

Then Saul said to his armor-bearer,“ Draw your sword and run me through with it, or these uncircumcised men will come and run me through and torture me.” But his armor-bearer would not do it because he was terrified. Then Saul took his sword and fell on it.

Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.

Saul said to his armor bearer,“ Draw your sword and stab me with it! Otherwise these uncircumcised people will come, stab me, and torture me.” But his armor bearer refused to do it, because he was very afraid. So Saul took his sword and fell on it.

Then Saul said to his armor bearer,“ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me!” But his armor bearer would not; for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell on it.

Then he called quickly to the young man, his armorbearer, and said to him,“ Draw your sword and kill me, lest men say of me,‘ A woman killed him.’” So his young man thrust him through, and he died.

Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.”

Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor,“ Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.”

Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying,“ What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

He said to me again,‘ Please stand over me and kill me, for anguish has come upon me, but my life still remains in me.’So I stood over him and killed him, because I was sure that he could not live after he had fallen. And I took the crown that was on his head and the bracelet that was on his arm, and have brought them here to my Lord.”

Then the young man who told him said,“ As I happened by chance to be on Mount Gilboa, there was Saul, leaning on his spear; and indeed the chariots and horsemen followed hard after him.

“ Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,“ that I will punish all who are circumcised with the uncircumcised—Egypt, Judah, Edom, the people of Ammon, Moab, and all who are in the farthest corners, who dwell in the wilderness. For all these nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in the heart.”

Now when Ahithophel saw that his advice was not followed, he saddled a donkey, and arose and went home to his house, to his city. Then he put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died; and he was buried in his father’s tomb.

Then Saul said to his armorbearer,“ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and abuse me.” But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it.

Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and the might that he showed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

Then his father and mother said to him,“ Is there no woman among the daughters of your brethren, or among all my people, that you must go and get a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines?” And Samson said to his father,“ Get her for me, for she pleases me well.”

So David said to him,“ How was it you were not afraid to put forth your hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed?”

When you brought in foreigners, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, to be in My sanctuary to defile it— My house— and when you offered My food, the fat and the blood, then they broke My covenant because of all your abominations.And you have not kept charge of My holy things, but you have set others to keep charge of My sanctuary for you.”Thus says the Lord GOD:“ No foreigner, uncircumcised in heart or uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter My sanctuary, including any foreigner who is among the children of Israel.

Tell it not in Gath, Proclaim it not in the streets of Ashkelon— Lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice, Lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph.
