When David reached Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends, saying,“ Here is a gift for you from the plunder of the Lord’s enemies.”

David reached Ziklag. He sent some of the goods to the elders of Judah. They were his friends. He said,“ Here’s a gift for you. It’s part of the things we took from the Lord’ s enemies.”

When David came to Ziklag, he sent part of the spoil to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying,“ Here is a present for you from the spoil of the enemies of the Lord.”

When he arrived at Ziklag, David sent part of the plunder to the elders of Judah, who were his friends.“ Here is a present for you, taken from the Lord’s enemies,” he said.

如今求你將婢女送來的禮物給跟隨你的僕人。

願那喜悅我冤屈得伸的歡呼快樂；願他們常說：當尊耶和華為大！耶和華喜悅他的僕人平安。

求你收下我帶來給你的禮物；因為神恩待我，使我充足。」雅各再三地求他，他才收下了。

因此，我想不得不求那幾位弟兄先到你們那裏去，把從前所應許的捐資預備妥當，就顯出你們所捐的是出於樂意，不是出於勉強。

人的禮物為他開路，引他到高位的人面前。先訴情由的，似乎有理；但鄰舍來到，就察出實情。掣籤能止息爭競，也能解散強勝的人。弟兄結怨，勸他和好，比取堅固城還難；這樣的爭競如同堅寨的門閂。人口中所結的果子，必充滿肚腹；他嘴所出的，必使他飽足。生死在舌頭的權下，喜愛它的，必吃它所結的果子。得着賢妻的，是得着好處，也是蒙了耶和華的恩惠。貧窮人說哀求的話；富足人用威嚇的話回答。濫交朋友的，自取敗壞；但有一朋友比弟兄更親密。

你已經升上高天，擄掠仇敵；你在人間，就是在悖逆的人間，受了供獻，叫耶和華神可以與他們同住。

乃縵帶着一切跟隨他的人，回到神人那裏，站在他面前，說：「如今我知道，除了以色列之外，普天下沒有神。現在求你收點僕人的禮物。」

高明人卻謀高明事，在高明事上也必永存。

大衛因怕基士的兒子掃羅，躲在洗革拉的時候，有勇士到他那裏幫助他打仗。他們善於拉弓，能用左右兩手甩石射箭，都是便雅憫人掃羅的族弟兄。為首的是亞希以謝，其次是約阿施，都是基比亞人示瑪的兒子。還有亞斯瑪威的兒子耶薛和毗力，又有比拉迦，並亞拿突人耶戶，基遍人以實買雅（他在三十人中是勇士，管理他們），且有耶利米、雅哈悉、約哈難，和基得拉人約撒拔、伊利烏賽、耶利摩、比亞利雅、示瑪利雅，哈律弗人示法提雅，可拉人以利加拿、耶西亞、亞薩列、約以謝、雅朔班，基多人耶羅罕的兒子猶拉和西巴第雅。迦得支派中有人到曠野的山寨投奔大衛，都是大能的勇士，能拿盾牌和槍的戰士。他們的面貌好像獅子，快跑如同山上的鹿。第一以薛，第二俄巴底雅，第三以利押，第四彌施瑪拿，第五耶利米，第六亞太，第七以利業，第八約哈難，第九以利薩巴，第十耶利米，第十一末巴奈。這都是迦得人中的軍長，至小的能抵一百人，至大的能抵一千人。正月，約旦河水漲過兩岸的時候，他們過河，使一切住平原的人東奔西逃。
