David replied,“ No, my brothers, you must not do that with what the Lord has given us. He has protected us and delivered into our hands the raiding party that came against us.

But David said,“ You shall not do so, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us. He has preserved us and given into our hand the band that came against us.

But David said,“ No, my brothers! Don’t be selfish with what the Lord has given us. He has kept us safe and helped us defeat the band of raiders that attacked us.

But David said,“ My brothers, you must not do this with what the LORD has given us. He protected us and handed over to us the raiders who came against us.

But David said,“ You must not do so, my brothers, with what the Lord has given us, for He has protected us and handed over to us the band of raiders that came against us.

But David said,“ My brethren, you shall not do so with what the Lord has given us, who has preserved us and delivered into our hand the troop that came against us.

Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which Jehovah hath given unto us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the troop that came against us into our hand.

你要記得耶和華－你的神，因為得財富的能力是他給你的，為要堅守他向你列祖起誓所立的約，像今日一樣。

說：「我的弟兄們，請你們不要做這惡事。

這家的主人出來對他們說：「弟兄們，不要做這樣的惡事。這人既然進了我的家，你們就不要做這樣可恥的事。

「諸位父老弟兄，請聽我現在對你們的申辯。」

你曾用手趕出外邦人，卻栽培了我們的列祖；你苦待萬民，卻叫我們的列祖發達。因為他們不是靠自己的刀劍承受土地，也不是靠自己的膀臂得勝，而是靠你的右手、你的膀臂，和你臉上的亮光，因為你喜愛他們。神啊，你是我的君王，求你發命令使雅各得勝。靠你，我們要推倒我們的敵人；靠你的名，我們要踐踏那興起攻擊我們的人。因為我必不倚靠我的弓，我的刀也不能使我得勝。惟有你拯救我們脫離敵人，使恨我們的人羞愧。

耶和華要保護你，免受一切的災害，他要保護你的性命。你出你入，耶和華要保護你，從今時直到永遠。

司提反說：「諸位父老弟兄請聽！從前我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕在美索不達米亞，還沒有住在哈蘭的時候，榮耀的神向他顯現，

你吃得飽足，要稱頌耶和華－你的神，因為他將那美地賜給你。」

對他說：「你的僕人已經計算屬下戰士的總數，一個也沒有少。如今我們把各人所得的金器，就是腳鏈子、手鐲、打印的戒指、耳環、項鏈，都送給耶和華為供物，好在耶和華面前為我們贖罪。」摩西和以利亞撒祭司就收了他們的金子，就是各樣的首飾。千夫長、百夫長所獻給耶和華為舉祭的金子共有一萬六千七百五十舍客勒。打仗的人都把自己所掠奪的各自留下。摩西和以利亞撒祭司收了千夫長、百夫長的金子，就帶進會幕，好使以色列人在耶和華面前蒙記念。

耶和華使人貧窮，也使人富足；使人降卑，也使人升高。

向羅網獻祭，向漁網燒香；因為他藉此得豐盛的收穫與肥美的食物。

大衛求問耶和華說：「我追趕這羣人，是否追得上呢？」耶和華對他說：「你可以追，一定追得上，也一定救得回來。」

豐富尊榮都從你而來，你也治理萬物。在你手裏有大能大力，你的手使人尊大強盛。我們的神啊，現在我們稱謝你，讚美你榮耀之名！「我算甚麼，我的百姓算甚麼，竟然能夠如此樂意奉獻？因為萬物都從你而來，我們把從你的手得來的獻給你。
