He led David down, and there they were, scattered over the countryside, eating, drinking and reveling because of the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from Judah.

He led David down to where the men were. They were scattered all over the countryside. They were eating and drinking and dancing wildly. That’s because they had taken a large amount of goods from those they had attacked. They had taken it from the land of the Philistines and from the people of Judah.

And when he had taken him down, behold, they were spread abroad over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah.

So he led David to them, and they found the Amalekites spread out across the fields, eating and drinking and dancing with joy because of the vast amount of plunder they had taken from the Philistines and the land of Judah.

So he led him, and there were the Amalekites, spread out over the entire area, eating, drinking, and celebrating because of the great amount of plunder they had taken from the land of the Philistines and the land of Judah.

当人们正说“和平”、“安全”的时候，毁灭那时就突然临到他们，就像孕妇的临产阵痛那样，他们绝不能逃脱。

住在地上的人都因他们的死而欢喜、庆祝，并且要彼此送礼，因为这两位先知曾使住在地上的人受痛苦。可是三天半之后，有从神而来的生命气息进入他们里面，他们就站立起来了。于是强烈的恐惧临到那些观看他们的人。随后，两位先知听见一个大声音从天上传来，对他们说：“上到这里来！”他们就在云中升到天上去了，他们的敌人也看见了。就在那时刻，发生了大地震，那城的十分之一倒塌了，在地震中死去的有七千人。其余的人都感到害怕，把荣耀归给天上的神。

人们继续吃、喝、嫁、娶，直到挪亚进方舟的那一天，洪水到来，把一切都毁灭了。同样，就像在罗得的那些日子里发生的那样：人们继续吃喝、买卖、耕种、建造，到了罗得离开所多玛的那一天，烈火和硫磺就从天而降，把一切都毁灭了。

伯沙撒王为他的一千名大臣摆设了盛大的宴席，当着这一千人的面喝酒。伯沙撒酒酣之时，吩咐人把他先王尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷的圣殿中取走的金银器皿带来，好让王和他的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们都用这些来喝酒。于是人把圣殿——耶路撒冷神的殿中所取走的金器皿带来，王和他的大臣们、妻子们、妃嫔们就用这些来喝酒。他们一边喝酒，一边称赞那些用金、银、铜、铁、木、石所做的神明。

我们侵袭了基利提的南地和属于犹大的地方，以及迦勒的南地，并且用火烧毁了洗革拉。”

娅比盖回到纳巴尔那里，看哪，他在家里摆设宴席，像王的宴席一样。纳巴尔心情好，醉得很厉害，所以娅比盖无论大事小事都没有告诉他，直到早晨天亮。到了早晨，纳巴尔酒醒后，他的妻子把这些事告诉他，他就失去了意识，身体变得硬如石头。大约过了十天，耶和华击打纳巴尔，他就死了。

看哪！你们却欢喜快乐，杀牛宰羊，吃肉喝酒，说：“让我们吃喝吧！因为明天我们就要死了。”

然后，我要对我的灵魂说：灵魂哪，你拥有了很多好东西，足以享用多年，你就休息、吃喝、庆祝吧。’“可是神对他说：‘你这愚妄的人哪！今夜，他们就要召回你的灵魂了。那么，你所预备的要归谁呢？’

“你们要谨慎自守，免得你们的心因宴乐、醉酒和今生的忧虑变得迟钝，那日子就会像网罗一样突然临到你们，因为那日子将要临到所有住在全地面上的人。
