Suddenly the Lord called out,“ Samuel!”“ Yes?” Samuel replied.“ What is it?”

Then the Lord called Samuel. Samuel answered,“ Here I am.”

The Lord called out to Samuel. Samuel answered,“ Here I am.”

Then the Lord called Samuel, and he said,“ Here I am!”

Then the LORD called Samuel, and he answered,“ Here I am.”

that the Lord called Samuel; and he said,“ Here I am.”

that the Lord called Samuel. And he answered,“ Here I am!”

that Jehovah called Samuel: and he said, Here am I.

Then the Lord called Samuel, and he answered,“ Here I am.”

That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here[ am] I.

The LORD called to Samuel, and he replied,“ Here I am!”

Yahweh called Samuel. He said,“ Here I am.”

God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing.He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said.It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.

He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”

But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by his marvelous grace. Then it pleased himto reveal his Son to me so that I would proclaim the Good News about Jesus to the Gentiles. When this happened, I did not rush out to consult with any human being.

Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.

Moses and Aaron were among his priests; Samuel also called on his name. They cried to the Lord for help, and he answered them.

Then I heard the Lord asking,“ Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said,“ Here I am. Send me.”

When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush,“ Moses! Moses!”“ Here I am!” Moses replied.

Some time later, God tested Abraham’s faith.“ Abraham!” God called.“ Yes,” he replied.“ Here I am.”
