So Samuel told him everything. He did not hold back anything from him. Eli said,“ The LORD will do what he pleases.”

So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said,“ He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”

Why should any living person complain when punished for his sins?נ( Nun)

But the Israelites said to the LORD,“ We have sinned. You do to us as you see fit, but deliver us today!”

And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand

He said,“ Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will return there. The LORD gives, and the LORD takes away. May the name of the LORD be blessed!”

I am silent and cannot open my mouth because of what you have done.

Far be it from you to do such a thing– to kill the godly with the wicked, treating the godly and the wicked alike! Far be it from you! Will not the judge of the whole earth do what is right?”

But the king said,“ What do we have in common, you sons of Zeruiah? If he curses because the LORD has said to him,‘ Curse David!’, who can say to him,‘ Why have you done this?’”Then David said to Abishai and to all his servants,“ My own son, my very own flesh and blood, is trying to take my life. So also now this Benjaminite! Leave him alone so that he can curse, for the LORD has spoken to him.Perhaps the LORD will notice my affliction and this day grant me good in place of his curse.”
