The Lord said to Samuel,“ Pay attention! I am about to do something terrible in Israel. It will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle.

耶和华对撒母耳说：“我在以色列中必行一件事，叫听见的人都必耳鸣。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“看哪，我在以色列中必行一件事，凡听见的人都必双耳齐鸣。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“看哪，我在以色列中必行一件事，凡听见的人都必双耳齐鸣。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“我要在以色列做一件令人震惊的事。

耶和华对撒母耳说：“看哪！我要在以色列中行一件事，听见的人，都必耳鸣；

耶和华对撒母耳说：“看哪，我就要在以色列做一件事，所有听见这事的人都会双耳震响。

耶和華對撒母耳說：「我在以色列中必行一件事，叫聽見的人都必耳鳴。

永恆主對撒母耳說：『看吧，我在以色列中必行一件事，就是凡聽見的人耳朵都會顫動的。

耶和華對撒母耳說：「看哪，我就要在以色列做一件事，所有聽見這事的人都會雙耳震響。

耶和華曰、我於以色列中、將行一事、使凡聽之者、兩耳必震、

耶和華曰、我將有為於以色列族、使聽之者必震其耳。

And the Lord said to Samuel:“ See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle.

Then the Lord said to Samuel,“ Behold, I am about to do a thing in Israel at which the two ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.

Then the Lord said to Samuel,“ I am about to do a shocking thing in Israel.

The LORD said to Samuel,“ I am about to do something in Israel that will cause everyone who hears about it to shudder.

Then the Lord said to Samuel,“ Behold, I am going to do a thing in Israel, and both ears of everyone who hears about it will ring.

Then the Lord said to Samuel:“ Behold, I will do something in Israel at which both ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.

And Jehovah said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.

The Lord said to Samuel,“ I am about to do something in Israel that everyone who hears about it will shudder.

And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.

The LORD said to Samuel,“ Look! I am about to do something in Israel; when anyone hears about it, both of his ears will tingle.

Yahweh said to Samuel,“ Behold, I will do a thing in Israel at which both the ears of everyone who hears it will tingle.

I am the Lord, the God of Israel. I tell you,‘ I am going to bring trouble on Jerusalem and Judah. It will be so horrible that the ears of everyone who hears about it will tingle.

Tell the people,‘ Listen to the Lord’ s message, you kings of Judah and people of Jerusalem. The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says,“ Listen! I am going to bring trouble on Jerusalem. It will be so horrible that it will make the ears of everyone who hears about it ring.

“‘ Look, you who make fun of the truth! Wonder and die! I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe. You wouldn’t believe it even if someone told you.’ ”( Habakkuk 1:5)

The Lord replies,“ Look at the nations. Watch them. Be totally amazed at what you see. I am going to do something in your days that you would never believe. You would not believe it even if someone told you about it.

Terror will make people faint. They will be worried about what is happening in the world. The sun, moon and stars will be shaken from their places.

As often as it comes, it will carry you away. Morning after morning, day and night, it will come to punish you.” If you understand this message, it will bring you absolute terror.

So once more I will shock these people with many wonderful acts. I will destroy the wisdom of those who think they are so wise. I will do away with the cleverness of those who think they are so smart.”

When someone blows a trumpet in a city, don’t the people tremble with fear? When trouble comes to a city, hasn’t the Lord caused it?The Lord and King never does anything without telling his servants the prophets about it.
