But the Philistine commanders demanded,“ What are these Hebrews doing here?” And Achish told them,“ This is David, the servant of King Saul of Israel. He’s been with me for years, and I’ve never found a single fault in him from the day he arrived until today.”

非利士人的领袖说：“这些希伯来人在这里作什么？”亚吉对非利士人的领袖说：“这人不是以色列王扫罗的臣仆大卫吗？他已经在我这里有好些年日了。自从他降服我的一天，直到今日，我未曾发现他有什么过错。”

非利士的首领们问：“这些希伯来人是怎么回事呢？”亚吉对非利士的首领们说：“这不就是以色列王扫罗的臣仆大卫吗？这几年他都与我在一起，自从他投靠我那天起，直到今天，我在他身上找不到任何过犯。”

非利士人的首領說：「這些希伯來人在這裏做甚麼呢？」亞吉對他們說：「這不是以色列王掃羅的臣子大衛嗎？他在我這裏有些年日了。自從他投降我直到今日，我未曾見他有過錯。」

非利士人的統領說：『這些希伯來人是甚麼東西？』亞吉對非利士人的統領說：『這不是以色列王掃羅的臣僕麼？他在我這裏有些年日了；自從他流落來投、直到今日、我未曾見他有甚麼過錯啊。』

非利士的首領們問：「這些希伯來人是怎麼回事呢？」亞吉對非利士的首領們說：「這不就是以色列王掃羅的臣僕大衛嗎？這幾年他都與我在一起，自從他投靠我那天起，直到今天，我在他身上找不到任何過犯。」

非利士牧伯曰、此希伯來人何為、亞吉曰、此非以色列王掃羅臣僕大衛乎、彼與我偕、有日有年、自投誠至今、未見其有過、

非利士人伯曰、此希百來人在此何為。亞吉曰、此以色列王掃羅之僕大闢、相從於我已歷數年、自投誠以來、未嘗有過。

於後有大衛與從者隨亞吉亦向前而進、非利士諸伯曰、此希伯來人、在此何為、亞吉謂非利士諸伯曰、此以色列王掃羅之臣大衛、彼與我偕一二年矣、自降我至於今日、未見其有過、

The commanders of the Philistines asked,“ What about these Hebrews?” Achish replied,“ Is this not David, who was an officer of Saul king of Israel? He has already been with me for over a year, and from the day he left Saul until now, I have found no fault in him.”

The commanders of the Philistines asked,“ Why are these Hebrews here?” Achish replied,“ That’s David, isn’t it? Wasn’t he an officer of Saul, the king of Israel? He has already been with me for more than a year. I haven’t found any fault in him. That’s been true from the day he left Saul until now.”

the commanders of the Philistines said,“ What are these Hebrews doing here?” And Achish said to the commanders of the Philistines,“ Is this not David, the servant of Saul, king of Israel, who has been with me now for days and years, and since he deserted to me I have found no fault in him to this day.”

Then the Philistine commanders asked,“ What are these Hebrews doing here?” Achish answered the Philistine commanders,“ That is David, servant of King Saul of Israel. He has been with me a considerable period of time. From the day he defected until today, I’ve found no fault with him.”

Then the commanders of the Philistines said,“ What are these Hebrews doing here?” And Achish said to the commanders of the Philistines,“ Is this not David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years, and I have found nothing at all suspicious in him since the day he deserted to me to this day?”

Then the princes of the Philistines said,“ What are these Hebrews doing here?” And Achish said to the princes of the Philistines,“ Is this not David, the servant of Saul king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or these years? And to this day I have found no fault in him since he defected to me.”

Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who hath been with me these days, or rather these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell away unto me unto this day?

Then the Philistine commanders asked,“ What are these Hebrews doing here?” Achish answered the Philistine commanders,“ That is David, servant of King Saul of Israel. He has been with me a considerable period of time. From the day he defected until today, I’ve found no fault with him.”

Then said the princes of the Philistines, What[ do] these Hebrews[ here]? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines,[ Is] not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell[ unto me] unto this day?

The leaders of the Philistines asked,“ What about these Hebrews?” Achish said to the leaders of the Philistines,“ Isn’t this David, the servant of King Saul of Israel, who has been with me for quite some time? I have found no fault with him from the day of his defection until the present time!”

Then the princes of the Philistines said,“ What about these Hebrews?” Achish said to the princes of the Philistines,“ Isn’t this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, who has been with me these days, or rather these years? I have found no fault in him since he fell away until today.”

So they concluded,“ Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion.”

and they lived there among the Philistines for a year and four months.

Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.

Please forgive me if I have offended you in any way. The Lord will surely reward you with a lasting dynasty, for you are fighting the Lord’s battles. And you have not done wrong throughout your entire life.

But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.

When they saw him, the leading priests and Temple guards began shouting,“ Crucify him! Crucify him!”“ Take him yourselves and crucify him,” Pilate said.“ I find him not guilty.”
