這些事以後，又有一事。耶斯列人拿伯在耶斯列有一個葡萄園，靠近撒瑪利亞，亞哈王的宮。

其餘的都逃向亞弗，到了城裏，城牆倒塌，壓死了剩下的二萬七千人。便‧哈達也逃入城內，藏在嚴密的內室裏。

耶和華對何西阿說：「給他起名叫耶斯列；因為再過片時，我要懲罰耶戶家在耶斯列流人血的罪，也必終結以色列家的王朝。到那日，我必在耶斯列平原折斷以色列的弓。」歌篾又懷孕，生了一個女兒，耶和華對何西阿說：「給她起名叫羅‧路哈瑪；因為我必不再憐憫以色列家，絕不赦免他們。我卻要憐憫猶大家，使他們靠耶和華－他們的神得救；我必不讓他們靠弓、刀、戰爭、馬匹與騎兵得救。」歌篾在羅‧路哈瑪斷奶以後，又懷孕生了一個兒子。耶和華說：「給他起名叫羅‧阿米；因為你們不是我的子民，我也不是你們的神。」然而，以色列的人數必多如海沙，不可量，不可數。從前在甚麼地方對他們說「你們不是我的子民」，將來就在那裏稱他們為「永生神的兒子」。猶大人和以色列人要一同聚集，為自己設立一個「頭」，從這地上來，因為耶斯列的日子必為大日。

他們回來報告耶戶，耶戶說：「這正應驗耶和華藉他僕人提斯比人以利亞所說的話，說：『在耶斯列田裏，狗必吃耶洗別的肉，

他們的地界是到耶斯列、基蘇律、書念、

霎時間，天因風雲黑暗，降下大雨。亞哈就坐上車，往耶斯列去了。耶和華的手按在以利亞身上，他就束上腰，奔在亞哈前頭，一路到耶斯列。

論到耶洗別，耶和華說：『狗必在耶斯列的城郭吃耶洗別。

那時，非利士人召集軍隊，要與以色列打仗。亞吉對大衛說：「你當知道，你和你的人都要隨我出征。」大衛對亞吉說：「好，僕人所能做的事，王都知道。」亞吉對大衛說：「好，我立你終生作我的侍衛。」

那時，所有的米甸人、亞瑪力人和東邊的人都聚集在一起，過了河，在耶斯列平原安營。

非利士人集合，來到書念安營；掃羅集合以色列眾人在基利波安營。

耶戶到了耶斯列。耶洗別聽見了，就畫眼影、梳頭，從窗戶往外觀看。
