又有烏瑪、亞弗、利合，共二十二座城，還有屬於這些城的村莊。

一個是亞弗王，一個是拉沙崙王，

耶斯列人拿伯在耶斯列有一個葡萄園，靠近撒瑪利亞王亞哈的王宮。

餘下來的都逃入亞弗城裡，城牆倒塌，壓死了餘下來的二萬七千人。便．哈達也逃到城裡來，躲進一間密室裡。

耶和華就對何西阿說：“給他起名叫耶斯列；因為不久我就要懲罰耶戶家在耶斯列流人血的罪，我要滅絕以色列家的國。“到那日，我要在耶斯列平原折斷以色列的弓。”後來，歌瑪又懷孕，生了一個女兒。耶和華對何西阿說：“給她起名叫羅．路哈瑪（“羅‧路哈瑪”意即“不蒙憐恤”）；因為我必不再憐恤以色列家，我決不赦免他們。“但我要憐恤猶大家，使他們靠耶和華他們的神得救。我要拯救他們，並不是靠弓、靠刀、靠戰爭，也不是靠戰馬、靠騎兵。”羅．路哈瑪斷奶之後，歌瑪又懷孕生了一個兒子。耶和華說：“給他起名叫羅．阿米（“羅‧阿米”意即“非我民”）；因為你們不是我的子民，我也不是你們的神。“然而，以色列人的數目，必多如海邊的沙，量不盡，數不完。從前在甚麼地方對他們說：‘你們不是我的子民’，將來要在那裡對他們說：‘你們是永活的神的兒子。’猶大人和以色列人要聚集在一起，為自己立一位首領，並離開那地上去，因為耶斯列的日子必為大日。”（本章第10~11節在《馬索拉文本》為2:1~2）

他們就回去，告訴他，他說：“這正是耶和華藉著他僕人提斯比人以利亞所說的話：‘野狗必在耶斯列的地方吃耶洗別的肉。’

他們的境界包括耶斯列、基蘇律、書念、

霎時之間，天空因風雲而變為黑暗，隨著降下大雨來。於是亞哈坐上了車，往耶斯列去了。耶和華的能力臨到以利亞的身上，以利亞就束上腰，跑在亞哈的前頭，直跑到耶斯列的城門口。

至於耶洗別，耶和華也說：‘狗必在耶斯列的地方吃耶洗別的肉。

那時，非利士人聚集他們的軍隊，要與以色列人爭戰。亞吉對大衛說：“你要清楚知道，你和跟隨你的人都要在軍隊中與我一同出征。”大衛回答亞吉說：“僕人所能作的事你都知道。”於是亞吉對大衛說：“好吧，我要立你永遠作我的護衛長。”

那時，米甸人、亞瑪力人和東方人，都聚集起來，過了河，在耶斯列平原安營。

非利士人聚集起來，來到書念安營；掃羅也聚集以色列眾人，在基利波安營。

耶戶到了耶斯列。耶洗別已經聽聞，就塗眼梳頭，從窗戶裡往外觀望。
