Of Levi he said,“ Let Your Thummim and Your Urim belong to Your godly man, Whom You tested at Massah, With whom You contended at the waters of Meribah;

You ask and do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, so that you may spend what you request on your pleasures.

We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if someone is God fearing and does His will, He listens to him.

The prophet who has a dream may report his dream, but let him who has My word speak My word truthfully. What does straw have in common with grain?” declares the Lord.

So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he committed against the Lord, because of the word of the Lord which he did not keep; and also because he asked counsel of a medium, making inquiry of her,and did not inquire of the Lord. Therefore He killed him and turned the kingdom over to David, the son of Jesse.
