撒母耳对扫罗说：“你为什么打扰我，招我上来呢？”扫罗答道：“我深陷困境，非利士人与我们交战，上帝也撇弃了我，不再借着先知或梦来回答我。因此，我只好招你上来，好告诉我该怎么办。”

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你为什么搅扰我，把我招上来呢？”扫罗说：“我非常苦恼，非利士人正在攻打我，神又离开了我，不再藉着先知或异梦回答我。所以我请你上来，指示我应该怎样行。”

撒母耳问扫罗：“你为什么搅扰我，招我上来呢？”扫罗回答：“我面临极大的危难：非利士人与我争战，神也离开了我，不再藉着先知或梦回应我。所以我召唤你来、指示我该怎么做。”

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你為甚麼攪擾我，招我上來呢？」掃羅回答說：「我甚窘急；因為非利士人攻擊我，神也離開我，不再藉先知或夢回答我。因此請你上來，好指示我應當怎樣行。」

撒母耳對掃羅說：“你為甚麼攪擾我，把我招上來呢？”掃羅說：“我非常苦惱，非利士人正在攻打我，神又離開了我，不再藉著先知或異夢回答我。所以我請你上來，指示我應該怎樣行。”

撒母耳對掃羅說：『你為甚麼攪擾我，把我招上來？』掃羅說：『我非常困難；非利士人對我作戰，上帝又離開我，不再由神言人經手、也不再藉着夢來回答我；因此我請你來指示我該怎樣行。』

撒母耳問掃羅：「你為什麼攪擾我，招我上來呢？」掃羅回答：「我面臨極大的危難：非利士人與我爭戰，神也離開了我，不再藉著先知或夢回應我。所以我召喚你來、指示我該怎麼做。」

Samuel said to Saul,“ Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?”“ I am in great distress,” Saul said.“ The Philistines are fighting against me, and God has departed from me. He no longer answers me, either by prophets or by dreams. So I have called on you to tell me what to do.”

Samuel said to Saul,“ Why have you troubled me by bringing me up from the dead?”“ I’m having big problems,” Saul said.“ The Philistines are fighting against me. God has left me. He doesn’t answer me anymore. He doesn’t speak to me through prophets or dreams. So I’ve called on you to tell me what to do.”

Then Samuel said to Saul,“ Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul answered,“ I am in great distress, for the Philistines are warring against me, and God has turned away from me and answers me no more, either by prophets or by dreams. Therefore I have summoned you to tell me what I shall do.”

“ Why have you disturbed me by calling me back?” Samuel asked Saul.“ Because I am in deep trouble,” Saul replied.“ The Philistines are at war with me, and God has left me and won’t reply by prophets or dreams. So I have called for you to tell me what to do.”

“ Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Samuel asked Saul.“ I’m in serious trouble,” replied Saul.“ The Philistines are fighting against me and God has turned away from me. He doesn’t answer me anymore, either through the prophets or in dreams. So I’ve called on you to tell me what I should do.”

And Samuel said to Saul,“ Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” Saul replied,“ I am very distressed, for the Philistines are waging war against me, and God has abandoned me and no longer answers me, either through prophets or in dreams; therefore I have called you, so that you may let me know what I should do.”

Now Samuel said to Saul,“ Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?” And Saul answered,“ I am deeply distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me and does not answer me anymore, neither by prophets nor by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may reveal to me what I should do.”

And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

Samuel said to Saul,“ Why have you disturbed me, to bring me up?” Saul answered,“ I am very distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God has departed from me, and answers me no more, by prophets, or by dreams. Therefore I have called you, that you may make known to me what I shall do.”

He inquired of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams or Urim or prophets. (niv)

In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side.So he called to him,‘ Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’“ But Abraham replied,‘ Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ (niv)

Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with David but had departed from Saul. (niv)

So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.Now the Spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him. (niv)

The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good rewarded for theirs. (niv)

Then the woman asked,“ Whom shall I bring up for you?”“ Bring up Samuel,” he said. (niv)

When David learned that Saul was plotting against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod.”David said,“ Lord, God of Israel, your servant has heard definitely that Saul plans to come to Keilah and destroy the town on account of me. (niv)

So Saul disguised himself, putting on other clothes, and at night he and two men went to the woman.“ Consult a spirit for me,” he said,“ and bring up for me the one I name.” (niv)

Then she called,“ Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought,“ I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him. (niv)

“ Then he will say to those on his left,‘ Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (niv)

he inquired of the Lord, saying,“ Shall I go and attack these Philistines?” The Lord answered him,“ Go, attack the Philistines and save Keilah.” (niv)

Have you not brought this on yourselves by forsaking the Lord your God when he led you in the way?Now why go to Egypt to drink water from the Nile? And why go to Assyria to drink water from the Euphrates? (niv)

Even if they rear children, I will bereave them of every one. Woe to them when I turn away from them! (niv)

At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent.You will say,“ How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors. (niv)

Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. (niv)

Once again David inquired of the Lord, and the Lord answered him,“ Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.” (niv)
