Now David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites and the Amalekites.( From ancient times these peoples had lived in the land extending to Shur and Egypt.)

Sometimes David and his men would go up and attack the Geshurites. At other times they would attack the Girzites or the Amalekites. All those people had lived in the land that reached all the way to Shur and Egypt. They had been there for a long time.

Now David and his men went up and made raids against the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites, for these were the inhabitants of the land from of old, as far as Shur, to the land of Egypt.

David and his men spent their time raiding the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites— people who had lived near Shur, toward the land of Egypt, since ancient times.

扫罗击杀亚玛力人，从哈腓拉直到埃及东的书珥，生擒了亚玛力人的王亚甲，用刀杀灭了所有人民。

以色列人却没有赶走基述人和玛迦人；因此，基述人和玛迦人住在以色列人中间，直到今日。

以法莲也没有把住在基色的迦南人赶走，于是迦南人还住在基色，在以法莲中间。

可是他们没有把住在基色的迦南人赶走，于是迦南人住在以法莲中间，直到今日，成了作苦工的奴仆。

于是约押起来，往基述去，把押沙龙带回耶路撒冷。

基述人和亚兰人却从他们那里夺取了睚珥的村镇，以及基纳和基纳的村庄，共六十座城。以上这些人都是基列的父亲玛吉的子孙。

那时亚玛力人来了，在利非订和以色列人争战。

押沙龙回答约押：“看哪，我派人去见你，说：‘请你到这里来，我要托你去见王，替我说：“我为什么从基述回来呢？我若是还留在那边，会觉得更好。”’现在，我要见王的面，如果我有罪，任由他把我杀死好了。”

因为仆人住在亚兰的基述的时候，曾经许了一个愿说：‘如果耶和华使我再回到耶路撒冷来，我就要在希伯仑事奉他。’”

这是所罗门王征召服劳役的建筑耶和华的殿和他自己的王宫，以及米罗、耶路撒冷的城墙、夏琐、米吉多和基色的记录。先前埃及王法老上来攻取基色，放火烧城，杀了住在城里的迦南人，把城送给自己的女儿、所罗门的妻子作嫁妆。所以所罗门重建基色、下伯．和仑、

摩西命以色列人从红海起程，到书珥旷野去；他们在旷野走了三天，找不着水。

押沙龙逃亡，走到基述王亚米忽的儿子达买那里去了。大卫天天为他的儿子哀伤。押沙龙逃亡，逃到基述那里去，在那里住了三年。

第三天，大卫和跟随他的人到了洗革拉。那时亚玛力人袭击了南地和洗革拉。他们攻破了洗革拉，又放火焚烧。

耶和华对摩西说：“我要把亚玛力的名号从天下完全抹掉；你要把话写在书上作记念，也要告诉约书亚。”摩西筑了一座祭坛，给它起名叫“耶和华尼西”。摩西又说：“向耶和华的旌旗举手，耶和华必世世代代和亚玛力人争战。”
