So David and the six hundred men with him left and went over to Achish son of Maok king of Gath.

So David left and crossed over to King Achish son of Maoch of Gath accompanied by his six hundred men.

David fled that day from Saul’s presence and went to King Achish of Gath.

He said to his men,“ All of you, put on your swords!” So each man put on his sword, and David also put on his sword. About four hundred men followed David while two hundred stayed with the supplies.

and David asked the LORD,“ Should I pursue these raiders? Will I overtake them?” The LORD replied to him,“ Pursue them, for you will certainly overtake them and rescue the people.”

But then, at the end of three years, two of Shimei’s slaves ran away to Achish son of Maacah, king of Gath. Shimei was informed,“ Look, your slaves are in Gath.”So Shimei saddled his donkey and set out to Achish at Gath to search for his slaves. He went and brought them back from Gath.
