So David and the six hundred men with him left and went over to Achish son of Maok king of Gath.

So David and his 600 men left Israel. They went to Achish, the king of Gath. He was the son of Maok.

那一天大卫起来，从扫罗面前逃走，到了迦特王亚吉那里。

大卫对跟随他的人说：“你们各人都佩上刀。”他们各人就佩上自己的刀，大卫也佩上自己的刀。跟随大卫上去的约有四百人，有二百人留下来看守器具。

大卫求问耶和华说：“我可以追赶这群匪徒吗？我可以追上他们吗？”耶和华回答他：“你可以追赶，你必定追上，也必定把一切救回来。”

三年以后，示每的两个仆人逃到迦特王玛迦的儿子亚吉那里。有人告诉示每说：“你的仆人在迦特。”于是示每起来，预备好自己的骡子，就往迦特亚吉王那里去寻找他的仆人。示每去了，又把他的仆人从迦特带回来。
