David then asked Ahimelek the Hittite and Abishai son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother,“ Who will go down into the camp with me to Saul?”“ I’ll go with you,” said Abishai.

Then David spoke to Ahimelek, the Hittite. He also spoke to Joab’s brother Abishai, the son of Zeruiah. He asked them,“ Who will go down with me into the camp to Saul?”“ I’ll go with you,” said Abishai.

“ Who will volunteer to go in there with me?” David asked Ahimelech the Hittite and Abishai son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother.“ I’ll go with you,” Abishai replied.

Then David asked Ahimelech the Hethite and Joab’s brother Abishai son of Zeruiah,“ Who will go with me into the camp to Saul?”“ I’ll go with you,” answered Abishai.

Then David said to Ahimelech the Hittite and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab’s brother, saying,“ Who will go down with me to Saul in the camp?” And Abishai said,“ I will go down with you.”

Then David answered, and said to Ahimelech the Hittite and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother of Joab, saying,“ Who will go down with me to Saul in the camp?” And Abishai said,“ I will go down with you.”

Then answered David and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother to Joab, saying, Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp? And Abishai said, I will go down with thee.

Then David answered and said to Ahimelech the Hittite, and to Abishai the son of Zeruiah, brother of Joab, saying,“ Who will go down with me to Saul to the camp?” Abishai said,“ I will go down with you.”

But if you are afraid to go down, go down to the camp with Purah your servant.And you shall hear what they say, and afterward your hands shall be strengthened to go down against the camp.” Then he went down with Purah his servant to the outposts of the armed men who were in the camp.

And the three sons of Zeruiah were there, Joab, Abishai, and Asahel. Now Asahel was as swift of foot as a wild gazelle.

And the king ordered Joab and Abishai and Ittai,“ Deal gently for my sake with the young man Absalom.” And all the people heard when the king gave orders to all the commanders about Absalom.

So David sent word to Joab,“ Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent Uriah to David.

Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king,“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and take off his head.”But the king said,“ What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah? If he is cursing because the Lord has said to him,‘ Curse David,’ who then shall say,‘ Why have you done so?’”
