The Lord rewards everyone for their righteousness and faithfulness. The Lord delivered you into my hands today, but I would not lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed.

The Lord rewards everyone for doing what is right and being faithful. He handed you over to me today. But I wouldn’t harm you. You are the Lord’ s anointed king.

耶和華按着我的公義報答我，按着我手中的清潔賞賜我。因為我遵守了耶和華的道，未曾作惡離開我的神。他的一切典章常在我面前；他的律例我也未曾丟棄。我在他面前作了完全人；我也保守自己遠離我的罪孽。所以，耶和華按我的公義，按我在他眼前手中的清潔償還我。慈愛的人，你以慈愛待他；完全的人，你以完全待他。清潔的人，你以清潔待他；乖僻的人，你以彎曲待他。

耶和華向眾民施行審判；耶和華啊，求你按我的公義和我心中的純正判斷我。願惡人的惡斷絕！願你堅立義人！因為公義的神察驗人的心腸肺腑。

我在耶和華面前，萬不敢伸手害耶和華的受膏者。現在你可以將他頭旁的槍和水瓶拿來，我們就走。」

對跟隨他的人說：「我的主乃是耶和華的受膏者，我在耶和華面前萬不敢伸手害他，因他是耶和華的受膏者。」大衛用這話攔住跟隨他的人，不容他們起來害掃羅。掃羅起來，從洞裏出去行路。
