Now let my lord the king listen to his servant’s words. If the Lord has incited you against me, then may he accept an offering. If, however, people have done it, may they be cursed before the Lord! They have driven me today from my share in the Lord’s inheritance and have said,‘ Go, serve other gods.’

King Saul, please listen to what I’m saying. Was it the Lord who made you angry with me? If it was, may he accept my offering. Was it people who made you angry at me? If it was, may the Lord see them cursed. They have driven me today from my share of the Lord’ s land. By doing that, they might as well have said,‘ Go and serve other gods.’

If it is the Lord who has stirred you up against me, may he accept an offering, but if it is men, may they be cursed before the Lord, for they have driven me out this day that I should have no share in the heritage of the Lord, saying,‘ Go, serve other gods.’

But now let my lord the king listen to his servant. If the Lord has stirred you up against me, then let him accept my offering. But if this is simply a human scheme, then may those involved be cursed by the Lord. For they have driven me from my home, so I can no longer live among the Lord’s people, and they have said,‘ Go, worship pagan gods.’

Now, may my lord the king please hear the words of his servant: If it is the LORD who has incited you against me, then may he accept an offering. But if it is people, may they be cursed in the presence of the LORD, for today they have banished me from sharing in the inheritance of the LORD, saying,‘ Go and worship other gods.’

Now then, please let my lord the king listen to the words of his servant. If the Lord has incited you against me, may He accept an offering; but if it is people, cursed are they before the Lord, because they have driven me out today so that I would have no share in the inheritance of the Lord, saying,‘ Go, serve other gods.’

But if men have instigated this, may they be cursed before the LORD! For they have driven me away this day from being united with the LORD’s inheritance, saying,‘ Go on, serve other gods!’

Now therefore, please let my lord the king hear the words of his servant. If it is so that Yahweh has stirred you up against me, let him accept an offering. But if it is the children of men, they are cursed before Yahweh; for they have driven me out today that I shouldn’t cling to Yahweh’s inheritance, saying,‘ Go, serve other gods!’

王必定垂聽，解救女僕脫離那些人的手，就是那些要從神的繼業上把我和我兒子一同除滅的人。』

大衛對亞比篩和所有的臣僕說：「看哪，我親生的兒子尚且尋索我的性命，更何況這便雅憫的子孫呢！由他吧，讓他咒罵！因為是耶和華吩咐了他。

耶和華聞到了那馨香之氣，就心裡說：「我絕不再因人的緣故詛咒這地，儘管人從年幼時就心懷邪惡；我也絕不再像我曾做的，毀滅所有的活物。

我有禍了！因為我寄居在米設，居住在基達的帳篷之間。

第二天，從神那裡來的禍害之靈大大臨到掃羅，他在宮殿中說預言。大衛一如往日手彈豎琴，掃羅手裡拿著長矛，

然而，就算是我們，或是天上來的使者，如果向你們傳講的福音，與我們先前所傳給你們的不同，他就該受詛咒。我們先前說過，現在我再說：如果有人向你們傳講的福音，與你們先前所領受的不同，他就該受詛咒。

耶和華所恨惡的有六樣，連他心中所憎惡的有七樣：就是高傲的眼目、撒謊的舌頭、沾滿無辜人血的手、圖謀惡計的心、奔向惡事的腳、口吐謊言的假見證人，以及在兄弟間散布紛爭的人。

猶大靠近約瑟，說：「哦，我主啊，你就像法老一樣，求你讓僕人說句話給我主聽，不要讓你的怒氣向僕人發作。

神哪，我的靈魂切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水！我的靈魂渴想神，渴想永生的神。我什麼時候能去見神的面呢？

行為純全、按照耶和華的律法而行的人是蒙福的！謹守耶和華的法度、全心尋求他的人是蒙福的！他們不做不義的事，只走在他的道路上。你用你的訓誡吩咐了我們，為要我們竭力遵守。但願我的道路被你堅立，好使我遵守你的律例。這樣，我注目你一切誡命時，就不致蒙羞；我學習你公義法規時，就以正直的心稱謝你。我要遵守你的律例，求你不要全然離棄我！

你不要對主人說僕人的壞話，免得他詛咒你，你就要承擔罪責。

我真希望那些攪亂你們的人把自己閹割了！

耶和華的靈離開了掃羅，就有禍害之靈從耶和華那裡來驚擾他。掃羅的臣僕們對他說：「看哪，是從神那裡來的禍害之靈在驚擾你。請我們的主吩咐面前的臣僕們，去尋找一個善於彈奏豎琴的人。當從神那裡來的禍害之靈臨到你身上時，這人用手彈琴，你就感覺舒服了。」掃羅就對他的臣僕們說：「請為我尋找一個善於彈琴的人，帶到我這裡來。」僕人中有一個人回應說：「看哪，我見過伯利恆人耶西的一個兒子，他善於彈琴，又是個有能力的勇士，是個戰士；他言談有智慧，身材健美，又有耶和華與他同在。」於是掃羅派遣使者們到耶西那裡，說：「把你那與羊群在一起的兒子大衛送到我這裡來！」耶西就牽來一頭驢，馱上餅和一皮囊酒，又取來一隻小山羊，經由他兒子大衛送給掃羅。大衛來到掃羅那裡，侍立在他面前。掃羅非常喜愛他，他就作了替掃羅拿兵器的人。掃羅派人到耶西那裡說：「請讓大衛留在我面前侍立，因為他在我眼前蒙了恩。」每當從神那裡來的禍害之靈臨到掃羅時，大衛都會拿起豎琴用手彈奏，掃羅就會心裡寬暢、感覺舒服，那個靈也從他身上離開了。

那時，你看見了就神采奕奕，你的心又震驚又寬暢；因為海洋的財寶必轉而歸你，列國的財富必來到你這裡。

耶和華的怒氣又向以色列人發作，於是他針對他們激動大衛說，去數點以色列人和猶大人。

銅匠亞歷山大對我做了很多惡事；主將照著他的行為回報他。

如果因食物的緣故使你的弟兄憂傷，你就不再是憑著愛行事了。基督已經替他死了，不可因你的食物毀了他。

婭比蓋俯伏在大衛腳前，說：「我主啊，願這罪責歸於我！請容許你的女僕向你說話，求你聽女僕的話：
