For David had done what was pleasing in the Lord’s sight and had obeyed the Lord’s commands throughout his life, except in the affair concerning Uriah the Hittite.

When the Roman officer overseeing the execution saw what had happened, he worshiped God and said,“ Surely this man was innocent.”

We deserve to die for our crimes, but this man hasn’t done anything wrong.”

Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths.

She fell at his feet and said,“ I accept all blame in this matter, my lord. Please listen to what I have to say.

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.

He said,“ Listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Listen, King Jehoshaphat! This is what the Lord says: Do not be afraid! Don’t be discouraged by this mighty army, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
