我的神啊，因為你啟示了你的僕人，說要為他建立王朝（“王朝”直譯作“家”），所以你僕人才敢在你面前這樣禱告。

萬軍之耶和華以色列的神啊！因為你曾啟示你的僕人說：‘我要為你建立家室。’所以你的僕人才敢來向你作這樣的禱告。

好像我吩咐士師統治我的子民以色列人的日子一樣。我必制伏你所有的仇敵，並且我告訴你，耶和華必為你建立家室。

我要使他的後裔存到永遠，使他的王位好像天一樣長久。

對大衛說：“你比我公義，因為你以良善待我，我卻以惡待你。

撒母耳就對他說：“今天耶和華把以色列國從你身上撕裂，賜給比你更好的人。

照樣，你們的光也應當照在人前，讓他們看見你們的好行為，又頌讚你們在天上的父。

因為除了赫人烏利亞那事以外，大衛都行耶和華看為正的事，一生之中從來沒有偏離耶和華所吩咐他的一切。

百夫長看見所發生的事，就頌讚神，說：“這真是個義人！”

我們是罪有應得的。我們所受的與所作的相稱，然而這個人並沒有作過甚麼不對的事。”

行為完全，遵行耶和華律法的，都是有福的。謹守他的法度，全心尋求他的，都是有福的。他們不作不義的事；他們遵行他的道。

她又俯伏在大衛的腳前，說：“我主啊，願這罪孽歸我。求你容婢女向你講話，求你聽婢女所說的話。

從前掃羅作我們的王的時候，領導以色列人行動的是你。耶和華也曾對你說：‘你要牧養我的子民以色列，要作以色列的領袖。’”

就對跟隨他的人說：“我在耶和華面前絕對不能這樣對待我主耶和華的受膏者，我絕對不能動手攻擊他，因為他是耶和華的受膏者。”大衛用這些話阻止了跟隨他的人，不讓他們起來攻擊掃羅。掃羅起來，出了山洞，繼續走他的路去了。

最後，你們要靠主的大能大力，在他裡面剛強。要穿戴神所賜的全副軍裝，使你們能抵擋魔鬼的詭計。

他就說：“全猶大的人、耶路撒冷的居民和約沙法王啊，你們要留意！耶和華這樣對你們說：‘你們不要因這大軍懼怕和驚慌，因為戰爭的勝負不是在於你們，而是在於神。
