He said to his men,“ As the LORD is my witness, I would never do such a thing to my lord, the LORD’s anointed. I will never lift my hand against him, since he is the LORD’s anointed.”

就对跟随他的人说：“我在耶和华面前绝对不能这样对待我主耶和华的受膏者，我绝对不能动手攻击他，因为他是耶和华的受膏者。”

就对部下说：“耶和华绝不允许我对耶和华的受膏者我主做这样的事，我绝不对他下手，因为他是耶和华的受膏者。”

就對跟隨的人說：『他既是永恆主所膏立的，我絕對不對我主上、不對永恆主所膏立的行這事，來伸手攻擊他。』

就對部下說：「耶和華絕不允許我對耶和華的受膏者我主做這樣的事，我絕不對他下手，因為他是耶和華的受膏者。」

謂從者曰、我主乃耶和華之受膏者、願耶和華禁我舉手攻之、以其為耶和華所膏也、

謂從者曰、耶和華以膏沐我主、而我舉手攻之、斷不可為。

謂從者曰、我畏主、斷不敢舉手害我主王、即主所立受膏者、彼原為主所立受膏者也、

He said to his men,“ The Lord forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, or lay my hand on him; for he is the anointed of the Lord.”

He said to his men,“ May the Lord keep me from doing a thing like that again to my master. He is the Lord’ s anointed king. So I promise that I will never lay my hand on him. The Lord has anointed him.”

He said to his men,“ The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my lord, the Lord’s anointed, to put out my hand against him, seeing he is the Lord’s anointed.”

He said to his men,“ The Lord forbid that I should do this to my lord the king. I shouldn’t attack the Lord’s anointed one, for the Lord himself has chosen him.”

So he said to his men,“ Far be it from me because of the Lord that I would do this thing to my lord, the Lord’s anointed, to reach out with my hand against him, since he is the Lord’s anointed.”

And he said to his men,“ The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.”

And he said unto his men, Jehovah forbid that I should do this thing unto my lord, Jehovah’s anointed, to put forth my hand against him, seeing he is Jehovah’s anointed.

He said to his men,“ I swear before the Lord: I would never do such a thing to my lord, the Lord’s anointed. I will never lift my hand against him, since he is the Lord’s anointed.”

And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD’S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he[ is] the anointed of the LORD.

He said to his men,“ May the LORD keep me far away from doing such a thing to my lord, who is the LORD’s chosen one, by extending my hand against him. After all, he is the LORD’s chosen one.”

He said to his men,“ Yahweh forbid that I should do this thing to my lord, Yahweh’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, since he is Yahweh’s anointed.”

But David said to Abishai,“ Don’t destroy him, for who can lift a hand against the LORD’s anointed and be innocent?”David added,“ As the LORD lives, the LORD will certainly strike him down: either his day will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish.However, as the LORD is my witness, I will never lift my hand against the LORD’s anointed. Instead, take the spear and the water jug by his head, and let’s go.”

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

David questioned him,“ How is it that you were not afraid to lift your hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed?”

Have I rejoiced over my enemy’s distress, or become excited when trouble came his way?I have not allowed my mouth to sin by asking for his life with a curse.

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Give careful thought to do what is honorable in everyone’s eyes.If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.Friends, do not avenge yourselves; instead, leave room for God’s wrath, because it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.But If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. For in so doing you will be heaping fiery coals on his head.Do not be conquered by evil, but conquer evil with good.Let everyone submit to the governing authorities, since there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are instituted by God.So then, the one who resists the authority is opposing God’s command, and those who oppose it will bring judgment on themselves.

See to it that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

But Naboth said to Ahab,“ As the LORD is my witness, I will never give my ancestors’ inheritance to you.”
