Then David’s men said to him,“ Behold, this is the day of which the Lord said to you,‘ Behold; I am about to hand your enemy over to you, and you shall do to him as it seems good to you.’ ” Then David got up and cut off the edge of Saul’s robe secretly.

從者曰、昔耶和華謂爾曰、我將以敵付於爾手、任意待之、今日是矣、大衛遂起、竊斷掃羅衣裾、

從者曰、昔耶和華告爾、必以敵付於爾手、任意以行、今日果應斯言矣。大闢起、竊斷掃羅裾。

大衛之從者謂大衛曰、主曾告爾、必以敵付於爾手、可任意以待之、今日斯言應矣、大衛起、潛割掃羅外衣裾、

The men said,“ This is the day the Lord spoke of when he said to you,‘ I will give your enemy into your hands for you to deal with as you wish.’” Then David crept up unnoticed and cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.

David’s men said,“ This is the day the Lord told you about. He said to you,‘ I will hand your enemy over to you. Then you can deal with him as you want to.’ ” So David came up close to Saul without being seen. He cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.

And the men of David said to him,“ Here is the day of which the Lord said to you,‘ Behold, I will give your enemy into your hand, and you shall do to him as it shall seem good to you.’” Then David arose and stealthily cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.

“ Now’s your opportunity!” David’s men whispered to him.“ Today the Lord is telling you,‘ I will certainly put your enemy into your power, to do with as you wish.’” So David crept forward and cut off a piece of the hem of Saul’s robe.

Then the men of David said to him,“ This is the day of which the Lord said to you,‘ Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, that you may do to him as it seems good to you.’” And David arose and secretly cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.

And the men of David said unto him, Behold, the day of which Jehovah said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thy hand, and thou shalt do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul’s robe privily.

David’s men said to him,“ This is the day about which the LORD said to you,‘ I will give your enemy into your hand, and you can do to him whatever seems appropriate to you.’” So David got up and quietly cut off an edge of Saul’s robe.

David’s men said to him,“ Behold, the day of which Yahweh said to you,‘ Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, and you shall do to him as it shall seem good to you.’” Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul’s robe secretly.

Then Abishai said to David,“ Today God has handed your enemy over to you; now then, please let me pin him with the spear to the ground with one thrust, and I will not do it to him a second time.”But David said to Abishai,“ Do not kill him, for who can reach out with his hand against the Lord’s anointed and remain innocent?”David also said,“ As the Lord lives, the Lord certainly will strike him, or his day will come that he dies, or he will go down in battle and perish.The Lord forbid that I would reach out with my hand against the Lord’s anointed! But now please take the spear that is at his head and the jug of water, and let’s go.”

And the Lord will repay each man for his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the Lord handed you over to me today, but I refused to reach out with my hand against the Lord’s anointed.

Behold, this day your eyes have seen that the Lord had handed you over to me today in the cave, and someone said to kill you, but I spared you; and I said,‘ I will not reach out with my hand against my lord, because he is the Lord’s anointed.’

When it was reported to Saul that David had come to Keilah, Saul said,“ God has handed him over to me, for he shut himself in by entering a city with double gates and bars.”

You have declared today that you have done good to me, that the Lord handed me over to you and yet you did not kill me.

Please forgive the offense of your slave; for the Lord will certainly make for my lord an enduring house, because my lord is fighting the battles of the Lord, and evil will not be found in you all your days.Should anyone rise up to pursue you and to seek your life, then the life of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of the living with the Lord your God; but the lives of your enemies He will sling out as from the hollow of a sling.And when the Lord does for my lord in accordance with all the good that He has spoken concerning you, and appoints you ruler over Israel,

He said to him,“ Do not be afraid, because the hand of Saul my father will not find you, and you will be king over Israel, and I will be second in command to you; and Saul my father knows that as well.”

Then they brought the head of Ish bosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king,“ Behold, the head of Ish bosheth the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life; so the Lord has given my lord the king vengeance this day on Saul and his descendants.”

Have the people of my tent not said,‘ Who can find one who has not been satisfied with his meat’?
