He came to the sheep pens along the way; a cave was there, and Saul went in to relieve himself. David and his men were far back in the cave.

And he came to the sheepfolds by the way, where there was a cave, and Saul went in to relieve himself. Now David and his men were sitting in the innermost parts of the cave.

At the place where the road passes some sheepfolds, Saul went into a cave to relieve himself. But as it happened, David and his men were hiding farther back in that very cave!

我向耶和華呼求，我高聲向祂求助，我在祂面前傾訴我的苦情，向祂述說我的患難。耶和華啊，我心力交瘁的時候，只有你知道我當走的路。敵人已在我行的路上鋪下網羅。看看我左右，無人關心我；我走投無路，無人眷顧我。耶和華啊，我向你呼求，你是我的避難所，在世上你是我的福分。求你垂聽我的呼求，因為我身陷絕境。求你救我脫離迫害我的人，因為他們太強大了。求你救我脫離牢籠，好讓我讚美你。因為你恩待我，義人必聚集在我周圍。

上帝啊，求你憐憫我，憐憫我，因為我投靠你。我要在你翅膀下得到蔭庇，直到災難結束。我向至高的上帝，向為我成就一切的上帝呼求。上帝從天上施助、拯救我，使迫害我的人蒙羞。上帝必彰顯祂的慈愛和信實。我被獅子包圍，躺臥在吃人的野獸中。他們的牙齒是矛和箭，舌頭是尖刀。上帝啊，願人對你的尊崇超過諸天，願你的榮耀覆蓋大地。我的仇敵設下網羅，我心中沮喪。他們在我走的路上挖了陷阱，自己卻掉了進去。（細拉）上帝啊，我心堅定，我心堅定，我要唱詩讚美你。我的心啊，要振奮起來！琴瑟啊，彈奏吧！我要喚醒黎明！主啊，我要在列邦稱謝你，在列國歌頌你。因為你的慈愛高達諸天，你的信實廣及穹蒼。上帝啊，願你得到的尊崇超過諸天，願你的榮耀覆蓋大地。

他們的首領被拋下懸崖的時候，他們就會知道我所言不虛。
