“ You are more righteous than I,” he said.“ You have treated me well, but I have treated you badly.

He said to David,“ You are more righteous than I, for you have repaid me good, whereas I have repaid you evil.

And he said to David,“ You are a better man than I am, for you have repaid me good for evil.

and said to David,“ You are more righteous than I, for you have done what is good to me though I have done what is evil to you.

And he said to David,“ You are more righteous than I; for you have dealt well with me, while I have dealt maliciously with you.

Then he said to David:“ You are more righteous than I; for you have rewarded me with good, whereas I have rewarded you with evil.

And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I; for thou hast rendered unto me good, whereas I have rendered unto thee evil.

and said to David,“ You are more righteous than I, for you have done what is good to me though I have done what is evil to you.

And he said to David, Thou[ art] more righteous than I: for thou hast rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil.

He said to David,“ You are more innocent than I, for you have treated me well, even though I have tried to harm you!

He said to David,“ You are more righteous than I; for you have done good to me, whereas I have done evil to you.

Then Saul said,“ I have sinned. My son David, come back. Today you thought my life was very special. So I won’t try to harm you again. I’ve really acted like a foolish person. I’ve made a huge mistake.”

But here is what I tell you. Love your enemies. Pray for those who hurt you.

Judah recognized them. He said,“ She’s a better person than I am. I should have given her to my son Shelah, but I didn’t.” Judah never slept with Tamar again.

Do just the opposite. Scripture says,“ If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. By doing those things, you will pile up burning coals on their heads.”( Proverbs 25:21, 22)Don’t let evil overcome you. Overcome evil by doing good.

He will make the reward for your godly life shine like the dawn. He will make the proof of your honest life shine like the sun at noon.

“ I have sinned,” he said.“ I handed over a man who is not guilty.”“ What do we care?” they replied.“ That’s your problem.”

Then Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron.“ This time I’ve sinned,” he said to them.“ The Lord has done what is right. I and my people have done what is wrong.
