When David learned that Saul was plotting against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod.”

David learned that Saul was planning to attack him. So he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the linen apron.”

David knew that Saul was plotting harm against him. And he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

But David learned of Saul’s plan and told Abiathar the priest to bring the ephod and ask the Lord what he should do.

When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to the priest Abiathar,“ Bring the ephod.”

When David knew that Saul plotted evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

And David knew that Saul was devising mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.

When David learned that Saul was plotting evil against him, he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod.”

And David knew that Saul secretly practised mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest, Bring hither the ephod.

When David realized that Saul was planning to harm him, he told Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod!”

David knew that Saul was devising mischief against him; and he said to Abiathar the priest,“ Bring the ephod here.”

Then David said to Abiathar the priest, the son of Ahimelech,“ Please bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought the ephod to David.

Now it came about, when Abiathar the son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, that he came down with an ephod in his hand.

Moreover, he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his command they shall go out, and at his command they shall come in, both he and all the sons of Israel with him, all the congregation.”

they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding region;

‘ Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

Then Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God here.” For at that time the ark of God was with the sons of Israel.

Moreover, the Lord made it known to me and I knew it; Then You showed me their deeds.But I was like a gentle lamb led to the slaughter; And I did not know that they had devised plots against me, saying,“ Let’s destroy the tree with its fruit, And let’s cut him off from the land of the living, So that his name will no longer be remembered.”

But the son of Paul’s sister heard about their ambush, and he came and entered the barracks and told Paul.Paul called one of the centurions to himself and said,“ Take this young man to the commander, for he has something to report to him.”So he took him and led him to the commander and* said,“ Paul the prisoner called me over to him and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”

But one son of Ahimelech the son of Ahitub, named Abiathar, escaped and fled to David.

but their plot became known to Saul. They were also closely watching the gates day and night so that they might put him to death;
