that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?

Then Abishai said to David,“ God has delivered up your enemy into your hand today. Now therefore please let me strike him with the spear to the earth at one stroke, and I will not strike him the second time.”David said to Abishai,“ Don’t destroy him; for who can stretch out his hand against Yahweh’s anointed, and be guiltless?”

For my enemies talk about me. Those who watch for my soul conspire together,saying,“ God has forsaken him. Pursue and take him, for no one will rescue him.”

David stayed in the wilderness in the strongholds, and remained in the hill country in the wilderness of Ziph. Saul sought him every day, but God didn’t deliver him into his hand.
