Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah. He said,“ God has handed him over to me. David has trapped himself by entering a town that has gates with metal bars.”

Now it was told Saul that David had come to Keilah. And Saul said,“ God has given him into my hand, for he has shut himself in by entering a town that has gates and bars.”

Saul soon learned that David was at Keilah.“ Good!” he exclaimed.“ We’ve got him now! God has handed him over to me, for he has trapped himself in a walled town!”

When it was reported to Saul that David had gone to Keilah, he said,“ God has handed him over to me, for he has trapped himself by entering a town with barred gates.”

When it was reported to Saul that David had come to Keilah, Saul said,“ God has handed him over to me, for he shut himself in by entering a city with double gates and bars.”

And Saul was told that David had gone to Keilah. So Saul said,“ God has delivered him into my hand, for he has shut himself in by entering a town that has gates and bars.”

And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into my hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars.

Abishai said to David,“ Today God has delivered your enemy into your hands. Now let me pin him to the ground with one thrust of the spear; I won’t strike him twice.”But David said to Abishai,“ Don’t destroy him! Who can lay a hand on the Lord’s anointed and be guiltless?

David stayed in the wilderness strongholds and in the hills of the Desert of Ziph. Day after day Saul searched for him, but God did not give David into his hands.

Pharaoh will think,‘ The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.’

The enemy boasted,‘ I will pursue, I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils; I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.’

The people of Gaza were told,“ Samson is here!” So they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. Then he got up and took hold of the doors of the city gate, together with the two posts, and tore them loose, bar and all. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls.
