What shall we then say to these things? If God[ be] for us, who[ can be] against us?

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul:[ there is] nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

And it was told Saul that David was come to Keilah. And Saul said, God hath delivered him into mine hand; for he is shut in, by entering into a town that hath gates and bars.

For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee[ as] a bird to your mountain?For, lo, the wicked bend[ their] bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and[ that] all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve[ me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom[ be] glory for ever and ever.
