為什麼你們一同謀害我？我的兒子跟耶西的兒子立約，沒有人告訴我。就是今天我的兒子鼓動我的臣僕來謀害我，也沒有人關心我，告訴我。」

你们竟都结党害我！我的儿子与耶西的儿子结盟的时候，无人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣子谋害我，就如今日的光景，也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。”

你们竟都结党害我！我儿子与耶西的儿子立约的时候，无人告诉我；我儿子挑唆我的臣仆谋害我，像今日这样，也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。”

你们竟都结党害我！我儿子与耶西的儿子立约的时候，无人告诉我；我儿子挑唆我的臣仆谋害我，像今日这样，也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。”

你们竟都同谋陷害我。我的儿子与耶西的儿子立盟约的时候，没有人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣仆陷害我，就像今天一样，你们中间也没有人关心我，告诉我。”

你们所有人竟然同谋对付我！当我的儿子与耶西的儿子结盟的时候，没有人告诉我；当我的儿子煽动我的臣仆伺机反对我时，就像今天这样，你们中间也没有人关心我、告诉我。”

你們竟都結黨害我！我的兒子與耶西的兒子結盟的時候，無人告訴我；我的兒子挑唆我的臣子謀害我，就如今日的光景，也無人告訴我，為我憂慮。」

你們竟都共謀來害我；我兒子同耶西的兒子結盟的時候、也沒有人向我披露；我兒子鼓動我的臣僕做仇敵來害我，就如今日的光景，你們中間也沒有人顧惜我、而向我披露！』

你們所有人竟然同謀對付我！當我的兒子與耶西的兒子結盟的時候，沒有人告訴我；當我的兒子煽動我的臣僕伺機反對我時，就像今天這樣，你們中間也沒有人關心我、告訴我。」

使爾同謀攻我、我子與耶西子結盟、無人以告、罔為我憂、我子激我臣僕、伏以害我、有如今日、亦無人以告、

爾曹乃謀攻我、今日我子與我臣僕耶西之子結約、使伏以害我、無人以告、無人為我懷憂。

爾竟結黨謀攻我、我子與耶西子結盟、我子使我之臣、伏以害我、即如今日情景、爾中乃無人告我、無人為我懷憂、

Is that why you have all conspired against me? No one tells me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse. None of you is concerned about me or tells me that my son has incited my servant to lie in wait for me, as he does today.”

Is that why all of you have joined together against me? No one tells me when my son makes a covenant with Jesse’s son. None of you is concerned about me. No one tells me that my son has stirred up Jesse’s son to hide and wait to attack me. But that’s exactly what’s happening now.”

that all of you have conspired against me? No one discloses to me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse. None of you is sorry for me or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day.”

Is that why you have conspired against me? For not one of you told me when my own son made a solemn pact with the son of Jesse. You’re not even sorry for me. Think of it! My own son— encouraging him to kill me, as he is trying to do this very day!”

That’s why all of you have conspired against me! Nobody tells me when my own son makes a covenant with Jesse’s son. None of you cares about me or tells me that my son has stirred up my own servant to wait in ambush for me, as is the case today.”

For all of you have conspired against me so that there is no one who informs me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who cares about me or informs me that my son has stirred up my servant against me to lie in ambush, as it is this day.”

All of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who reveals to me that my son has made a covenant with the son of Jesse; and there is not one of you who is sorry for me or reveals to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day.”

that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that discloseth to me when my son maketh a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or discloseth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

That’s why all of you have conspired against me! Nobody tells me when my own son makes a covenant with Jesse’s son. None of you cares about me or tells me that my son has stirred up my own servant to wait in ambush for me, as is the case today.”

That all of you have conspired against me, and[ there is] none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and[ there is] none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

For all of you have conspired against me! No one informs me when my own son makes an agreement with this son of Jesse! Not one of you feels sorry for me or informs me that my own son has commissioned my own servant to hide in ambush against me, as is the case today!”

that all of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who discloses to me when my son makes a treaty with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who is sorry for me, or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is today?”

約拿單像愛自己一樣愛大衛，他與大衛立了盟約，

掃羅說：「願耶和華賜福給你們！因為你們體恤我。

約拿單答道：「絕無此事，你不會死的！我父親事無大小都會告訴我的，他不會瞞著我這件事，不會的。」

上帝開啟他們的耳朵，用警告驚嚇他們，

掃羅的兒子約拿單去何利沙見大衛，鼓勵大衛堅定地信靠上帝。他對大衛說：「不要害怕，我父親害不了你。你將做以色列的王，我將做你的宰相。我父親也明白這一點。」二人在耶和華面前立了約。之後，大衛仍留在何利沙，約拿單則回家去了。

約拿單說：「我們已憑耶和華的名起誓，有耶和華在你我和你我的子孫之間永遠為我們的盟約作證，你就安心去吧。」大衛便起身離開，約拿單也回城去了。

掃羅向約拿單發怒，對他說：「你這邪惡叛逆婦人所生之子！難道我不知道你是站在耶西的兒子那邊嗎？你這樣做不但自取其辱，也使你母親蒙羞。只要耶西的兒子活在世上，你和你的王位就不得安穩。你派人把他抓到我這裡，他非死不可。」約拿單問：「為什麼要殺他？他做了什麼？」掃羅氣得把矛擲向約拿單，想要殺他。約拿單知道父親決意要殺大衛。他怒氣沖沖地離席，整天不肯進食，因為他看見父親如此卑劣地對待大衛，心裡非常難過。

請你善待僕人，因你與我在耶和華面前立了盟約。如果我有罪，就請你親手殺了我，何必把我交給你父親呢？」

如果他有意殺你，而我卻不告訴你讓你安然逃走，願耶和華重重地懲罰我。願耶和華與你同在，像從前與我父親同在一樣。在我有生之年，請你照耶和華的慈愛恩待我，免我一死。在我死後，即使耶和華把你所有的仇敵都毀滅了，請你仍舊恩待我的後人。」於是，約拿單與大衛家立下盟約，說：「倘若大衛不守盟約，願耶和華藉著仇敵懲罰他。」約拿單因為像愛自己一樣愛大衛，便叫他再次起誓。
