于是王对多益说：“你过去击杀祭司们。”以东人多益就过去击杀那些祭司。那天他杀了八十五个佩戴细麻布以弗得的人，

於是王對多益說：『你轉身去把祭司殺掉。』以東人多益就轉身去把祭司殺掉；那一天他殺死了八十五個人、都是帶着神諭像的。

於是王對多益說：「你過去擊殺祭司們。」以東人多益就過去擊殺那些祭司。那天他殺了八十五個佩戴細麻布以弗得的人，

王謂多益曰、爾往擊之、以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲聖衣者、八十五人、

王諭多益曰、汝擊祭司。以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲公服者八十五人。

The king then ordered Doeg,“ You turn and strike down the priests.” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king ordered Doeg,“ You go and strike down the priests.” So Doeg, the Edomite, went and struck them down. That day he killed 85 priests who wore linen aprons.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You do it.” So Doeg the Edomite turned on them and killed them that day, eighty five priests in all, still wearing their priestly garments.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed eighty-five men who wore linen ephods.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You, turn around and attack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty five men who wore the linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and he slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed 85 men who wore linen ephods.

那时，撒母耳还是孩子，穿着细麻布的以弗得，侍立在耶和华面前。

因此，耶和华—以色列的神说：‘我确实说过，你和你祖宗的家必永远行在我面前，但现在耶和华却说，我绝不会这样做。因为尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐视我的，他必被轻视。看哪，日子将到，我要折断你的膀臂和你祖宗家的膀臂，使你家中没有一个老年人。你在以色列人享福的时候必看见我居所的衰败，你家中必永远没有一个老年人。你家中的人，我没有从我坛前剪除的，必使你眼睛失明，心中忧伤。你家中所添的人口都必夭折。

我在耶路撒冷也曾这样做过；我不但从祭司长得了权柄，把许多圣徒收在监里，而且他们被杀，我也表示赞成。在各会堂，我屡次用刑强迫他们说亵渎的话，我非常厌恶他们，甚至追逼他们，直到外邦的城镇。”

我指着以利家所说的话，到了时候，必从头到尾应验在以利身上。我曾告诉他，我必永远惩罚他的家，因为他知道自己的儿子作恶，亵渎神，却不禁止他们。所以我向以利家起誓：‘以利家的罪孽，就是献祭物和供物，也永不得赎。’”

他们行恶使君王欢喜，说谎使官长快乐。

“你要为亚伦的儿子做内袍、腰带、头巾，以示尊严和华美。

因为你遵守暗利的规条，行亚哈家一切所行的，顺从他们的计谋；因此，我必使你荒凉，使你的居民遭人嗤笑，你们也必担当我百姓的羞辱。

你家所剩下的人都必来叩拜他，求一块银子，一个饼，说：求你给我一个祭司的职分，好使我得点饼吃。’”

其中的领袖是咆哮的狮子，审判官是晚上的野狼，不留一点到早晨。

以法莲因喜爱遵从荒谬的命令，就受欺压，在审判中被压碎。

在以色列众支派中，我不是拣选他作我的祭司，上我的祭坛，烧香，在我面前穿以弗得吗？我不是将以色列人所献的火祭都赐给你祖宗的家吗？

众人谋害撒迦利亚，照着王的吩咐，在耶和华殿的院内用石头打死他。
