王謂多益曰、爾往擊之、以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲聖衣者、八十五人、

王諭多益曰、汝擊祭司。以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲公服者八十五人。

The king then ordered Doeg,“ You turn and strike down the priests.” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king ordered Doeg,“ You go and strike down the priests.” So Doeg, the Edomite, went and struck them down. That day he killed 85 priests who wore linen aprons.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You do it.” So Doeg the Edomite turned on them and killed them that day, eighty five priests in all, still wearing their priestly garments.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed eighty-five men who wore linen ephods.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You, turn around and attack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty five men who wore the linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and he slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed 85 men who wore linen ephods.

当时，撒母耳还是个孩子，穿戴着细麻布的以弗得，在耶和华面前事奉。

“因此耶和华以色列的神宣告：我确实说过，你和你的父家要永远行在我面前。但现在，耶和华宣告：绝不会这样了！因为尊重我的，我必尊重他；轻视我的，他必被藐视。“看哪，日子将到，我必砍下你的膀臂和你父家的膀臂，使你家中没有一个老年人。当以色列在各方面蒙福的时候，你却要看到我居所的危难；你家中永远不再有老年人。你家中没被我从祭坛前剪除的人，必使你的眼睛衰竭、心里忧伤；而所有你家中增添的人，都死于壮年。

我在耶路撒冷也是这样做的。我不但从祭司长们得了权柄把许多圣徒关进监狱，而且当他们被杀的时候，我也投了一票。我在各会堂里，经常用刑逼他们说亵渎的话，又越发恼恨他们，甚至到国外的城市去逼迫他们。

到那日，我针对以利家所说的一切话，我必全部实行在以利身上。我曾告诉过他，我必为他知道的罪孽永远惩罚他的家；这罪就是他的儿子们亵渎神，而他却没有制止他们。因此我向以利家起了誓：‘以利家的罪孽是永远不能用祭物或供物来赎清的。’”

你家中所有存留的人都将为一块银子、一块饼，来向他下拜，说：‘求你给我安排一个祭司的职份，好让我有块饼吃。’”

我不是从以色列所有支派中拣选了他们作我的祭司吗？我让他们上我的祭坛烧香，在我面前佩戴以弗得，把以色列子民的各种火祭都赐给了你的父家。
