於是王對多益說：「你過去擊殺祭司們。」以東人多益就過去擊殺那些祭司。那天他殺了八十五個佩戴細麻布以弗得的人，

王謂多益曰、爾往擊之、以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲聖衣者、八十五人、

The king then ordered Doeg,“ You turn and strike down the priests.” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king ordered Doeg,“ You go and strike down the priests.” So Doeg, the Edomite, went and struck them down. That day he killed 85 priests who wore linen aprons.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You do it.” So Doeg the Edomite turned on them and killed them that day, eighty five priests in all, still wearing their priestly garments.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed eighty-five men who wore linen ephods.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You, turn around and attack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty five men who wore the linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and he slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

那时年少的撒母耳穿着细麻布的以弗得，在耶和华面前事奉。

“所以，以色列的上帝耶和华宣告说，‘我曾经应许让你们家族永远做我的祭司。’但现在耶和华宣布，‘这绝不可能了。尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐视我的，必遭藐视。看啊，时候将到，我要终结你和你家族的力量，你们家族必没有一个老人。你必以羡慕的眼光看着我赐福以色列人，你家中却永远没有一个老人。我不会把你家中的人从我坛前灭绝，但留下来的人必使你哭瞎双眼、伤心欲绝。你的子孙必中年夭亡。

我在耶路撒冷就是这样做的。我得到祭司长的授权，把许多圣徒关进监狱。他们被判死刑，我也表示赞同。我多次在各会堂惩罚他们，逼他们说亵渎的话，我对他们深恶痛绝，甚至到国外的城镇去追捕、迫害他们。

到时候，我要应验我说的有关以利家的一切预言。我对以利说过我要永远惩罚他家，因为他知道自己的儿子亵渎我，却没有制止他们。所以，我向以利家起誓说，‘靠祭物或礼物绝不能赎去以利家的罪恶。’”

他们以罪恶取悦君王，以谎言讨好首领。

也要为亚伦的儿子们缝制内袍、腰带、帽子，显出他们职位的荣耀和尊贵。

因为你遵守暗利的恶规，效法亚哈家的恶行，随从他们的计谋，所以我要使你荒凉，让你的居民成为笑柄。你们要蒙受列国的羞辱。”

那时，你家存留下来的人要在他面前下拜，乞讨银子和饼，并恳求说，请给我一个祭司的职位以便糊口！’”

她的首领是咆哮的狮子，她的审判官是夜间的豺狼，不留一点猎物到天明。

以法莲因甘愿追随偶像而受欺压，被审判压碎。

我在以色列各支派中选出你的先祖做我的祭司，在我的祭坛上献祭烧香，穿着以弗得事奉我。我把以色列人献的火祭都赐给你先祖家。

他们想谋害撒迦利亚，就照着王的命令，在耶和华殿的院子里用石头打死了他。
